Salt and Pepper Squid

This is super late post. Last 2 weeks ago, I was craving for a "squid". I don't know why. Early morning, I asked Joshua's yaya to buy squid. I really don't know kung ano lulutuin ko dun. Basta squid. hehehe! I'm thinking of "adobong pusit" or have it "grilled". However, Rain suggested "Salt and Pepper Squid" instead. Hmmm... Great idea. But then, haven't tried it yet. So, there I search for the recipe and voila! So simple! =p

Ingredients:

8 ounces calamari tubes
2 tablespoons Szechwan peppercorns
2 tablespoons sea salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cornstarch
3/4 cup peanut oil

Directions:

Slice the calamari tubes down one side and open them up to lay flat. Score the insides with a knife in a cross-hatch pattern. Set aside.
Heat a small skillet over high heat with no oil. Add the peppercorns, and toast for a few minutes, stirring constantly, until they start to sizzle and pop. Remove them from the pan and set aside. Add the salt to the pan and cook over high heat until it has turned a gray color. Remove from the heat.
Grind the salt and pepper with a mortar and pestle or spice grinder until it becomes a fine powder. Transfer to a resealable plastic bag and mix with flour and cornstarch.
Heat the oil in a wok or heavy skillet over high heat until very hot. Place a few pieces of squid at a time into the bag and shake to coat. Shake off excess and quickly fry them in the oil until browned, turning once. Each one should take about 30 seconds. Serve and eat immediately.

Dinner Date on a Weekday

Rain and I had an early dinner last Tues, Sept 1 @ TGIF, Makati. Rain woke up early to his normal wake up time which is 7:30pm. He's so bored at home and wants to unwind. Yes sa mall. hehehe! Then, off we go to Glorietta instead since it was few minutes away from his workplace. Nothing much. It was really nice spending time together in an unusual day. I love it. =p

I ordered Classic Mojito and Rain for Iced tea. I was convincing him to order beer hahaha. But he said "NO" because he'll be going to work pa. *Devil's Grin*. "Kung wala lang daw siyang pasok". Of course, I didn't insist anymore. Palibhasa wala akong pasok. =) I'm having a hard time taking pics of the food because of the low light the restaurant has. Kakainis. I still have to place the food on a brighter light. Rain was laughing then because I was so busy taking pics because he get to touch the food. E gutom na siya?hahaha! Then, when I was able to took a shot of all the food that we ordered, he just said, "pede na kumain?". I just said, Pedeng-pede na Lab!

It has been more than 8 months since my last post. I missed blogging. I've been very busy that I haven't even check out the last post for my blog. hehehe! Blame it again with super busy work. Now that I'm on PMA (Pahinga Muna Anak) and practicing being a full-time housewife, I'm sure I'm going to have a lot of time now. hehehe!

Now, I'm busy pampering my husband from his clothes to preparing breakfast and dinner (no more lunch since he's sleeping by then ~ graveyard shift). I got to love it. However, I felt worthless. Maybe because I've been working for more than 9 years straight right after graduating from college. I just don't want to be stagnat as well. Kaya nagpapaka-busy doing errands and cleaning the house as well. Whew... it was a tough job. Rain wants me to take a rest for at least 2 months. Para mawala ang stress and baka it's time for us to have a baby na rin.

For the Nth time, I'm back again! I've been busy lately. I don't know if I can still maintain this site (pati na rin ung ibang blogs ko). Have no time to go online at home. Pag dating ng house halos pagod na ako. Almost everyday I extend at least 1 hour or kung mamalasin until 8-9am the most. And when I get home I have to cook food pa for our breakfast or lunch before going to sleep. And I have to wake up early 2 hours before to cook dinner pa (yan e kung nde ko nabilin kung ano lulutuin from our help). But most of the time, ako pa rin ang nagluluto. Mahirap na din kase ibilin sa kanila e... hehehe!

Anyways, I still have a lot of stories to share and pictures to post. Kaya sa mga blogger friends ko, message lang kayo. I promise to myself from now on to find time blogging! Wish ko lang... :)

I celebrated my 29th birthday with my family last saturday, aug 9. Nyak, tanda ko na! There's really no big celebration. We just went to glorietta for lunch. Rain surprised me with a birthday cake. No fancy gift. Sabi ko nalang, mag-ipon nalang kami! hehehe! =p Pero the whole day sobrang kulit nya kung ano ba talaga ang gift na gusto ko. He's thinking for a new lens for me, kaya lang hirap kami humanap, lagi out-of-stock. Sabi ko sa christmas nalang! =p My mom gave me money for shopping hehehe! =p

We had lunch at Superbowl. It was satisfying. Rain and I were reminiscing, when was the last time we ate there. The last time yata is when we're still bf-gf. hahaha! Tagal na nun. Kaka-miss din pala! I was so full as well as everyone! =p

We celebrated my birthday last friday, Aug 8. Rain & I took our leaves (bday leave and vacation leave). First stop, morning, we had our breakfast at Amici @ Don Bosco Makati. We're too early, we arrived 8:30am kaya we waited for less than 30 minutes to order for a pizza and pasta. But it's worth the wait! We ordered their Tutta Carne pizza (italian sausage, cooked ham and spicy ham) and Spaghetti Red Vongole E Gamberetti pasta (shrimps, clams and scallop, bechamel, red wine, anchovies and ripe tomatoes).

After breakfast, we went home to get a copy of our marriage certificate for the renewal of my license. Nakalimutan ko kase e. Good thing malapit lang from our place =p. Then right before lunch we arrived at LTO - MRT - Ayala Station. Ang bilis kase wala masyadong tao. Bad trip lang since renewal and change of status, they don't process daw dun. Kaya nagpa-medical nalang ako and I have to go to LTO - Makati to get the id nalang. Dalawang process pa tuloy! =(

We went to greenhills afterwards and had our late lunch. =p We tried Tender Bob's. This was our first time to eat there. And it's worth it. We thought it was expensive then. We just ordered their baby back ribs and grilled porkchops. Sarap! =p We'll definitely be coming back!

Pasalubong

My sister's childhood friend arrived last week from Canada. I was excited about it because of the pasalubong she has for us. She bought Rain and I an iPod Shuffle as birthday gifts for both of us (Rain - April 19 & Me - Aug 9). Cheap lang daw kaya bumili na rin siya for herself. I think she bought it for only $40 each. Naiilang lang ako because it was too gaan compared to my iPod photo. So small! Rain was happy about it. Ang laki nya daw tao tapos iPod nya ang liit. hahaha! =p

Aside from that, I ask her also to buy me Victoria Secret's colognes and perfumes since she told me that it's on SALE ($25 for 10 assorted colognes and lotions). And then I sell it for P500 each 2 gives pa. Ayun, nung dinala ko sa office out of 15 pcs, 3 pcs nalang natira. Then, I ask her also to buy me a CANON SD 750 because it's too expensive dito for a point and shoot. Imagine 19,950 pesos dito and she only bought it for $199.99! So happy! Who says who don't want it right? =p Gift ko na for my birthday. So, pag-uwi nya next year, I'm sure laman ng baggage nya puro saken. Time to save!

Food trip!

Last thursday, my team had pansit party since one of my agent is resigning. Treat nya na daw sa amin. As you can see pinaghalong barako, bading at girlaloo! Mga addict sa picture. Kaya I bring my camera everyday for emergency. Emergency daw o? hahaha! =) Kakainis lang because nanginig ung kamay nung kumuha sa amin kaya medyo blur! =(

Then friday, we had agent our salo-salo (BBQ party). They loved the bbq from our kanto. Very cheap P13 each. I ordered 45 pcs that night. They contributed for P40 each for 3 BBQ. Takaw lang. Too bad I wasn't able to get some shots. Nakalimot sa gutom! =p Good thing out team top on that day. Dahil kung hindi, wag na mag-BBQ party. Joke! =p

For 2nd Anniversary

Rain and I have been thinking whether to travel or not this coming december for our 2nd wedding anniversary. Last thursday, he emailed me about the Cebu Pacific's domestic and international flights. I've already called them and inquired a few destination such as Macau, Singapore, Bangkok and Malaysia. They are all cheap I may say. But both of us can't decide what country. Though there are a lot of things to consider like pocket money and available leaves we have. Rain wants Macau and HK while I want Singapore. For Macau, the available dates were only until Dec 17. And the sad part is Dec 17 is fully booked. So we have to choose another date. Darn! We opted Dec 14-17 sana, but all the flights are booked and parang ang daming reason na naman na hindi kami maka-travel. I haven't told Rain that I've been thinking if we could just celebrate it nalang here muna. We still have to save a lot. Good thing, we're done with our car loan. It was a relief! =p Better yet, I'll just save up nalang to find a better gift for him. Whatchutink? =p

Our friend Tey will be leaving us for Singapore. *sad* We had our despedida party at Jay-Jay's Ortigas last friday. We had fun. Anyways, my birthday will be be few days from now and I've been thinking na "29 na ako, what's my plan now?" babies? hehehehe! Both Rain and I were very busy at work. Good thing is we're on the same shift so we still have time together. =p

I missed blogging. I still have a lot of stories to share and pictures to post. Kakainis lang because from work I don't have time anymore to open our pc to blog and chat. Nag-oopen lang ako if my sister from Canada wants to chat with us. Sa sobrang pagod sa office, halos wala na ako magawa sa bahay. Hay! =)

Last night, on my way to the office, Rain noticed that I have no headlights. He freaked out because I'm sure I'll have a hard time seeing the road. Baka pa mahuli ako. I only have the spark, signal, break, hazzard lights. Though I'm not worried naman because malinaw talaga ang mata ko. But he's very worried. He ask me to ask my officemate (Charles) to checked on baka nga meron nasira. He's positive na hindi siya pundi. Kase ba naman sabay nawalan e.

Kaya after the shift (morning), I called Toyota Makati if they have services on a saturday. Buti nalang meron. Kaya right after Rain took his breakfast, we went to Toyota right away and have it checked. Good thing, we don't have to set an appointment pa and the service advisor was very accomodating. He checked out right away the fuse and un nga, sunog na nga. We bought it right away and we were shocked that it was only 70 pesos for the 2 fuse. Hahaha! Natawa lang kami. And un na, I have my headlights again. =p

Rain did also ask for the cost of overall detailing. We want it to look brand new again after namin ma-fully pay. We only have 2 months left. Yey! After 4 years, yeeesh!

While Rain is paying the fuse, I was inside the showroom and I checked out the car displays they have there. Hmmm.. ganda ng RAV 4. Nyak. Pero so expensive. I said to my self, "Temptation!". hehe!

Laptop Repair

Just this morning, Rain and I went to Tricom (Toshiba's Service Center) in Jupiter, Makati to have our laptop fix. Two weeks ago, we already called and told them the problem. Due to our busy schedule, hindi namin napupuntahan. No major sira naman. The only problem is there's a crack in the LCD Bezel. Siguro kaka-open and close. Too bad because 1year lang ang warranty sa parts but the service is good for 3 years. Buti nalang cover pa ng service warranty. They have the available parts so we don't have to wait for 2-3months because they have to order it from Singapore (ang tagal ha?). Pero ang mahal ng parts! Close to $100. Nyaks! Parang ayaw ko na gamitin tuloy! hehehe!

Tagaytay

Yesterday we went to Tagaytay just to unwind from all the stress (work). We left Manila around 7am and hoping to arrive there at 8am for breakfast. However, due to SUPER TRAFFIC on SLEX, My Goodness! Dumating na kami ng Tagaytay around 930am. Sobrang nangawit ang legs ko with the traffic. Imagine, from Alabang all the way to Santa Rosa exit traffic pa din. After reaching Santa Rosa medyo malapit na din sa Tagaytay proper, hindi ko na matiis, I asked Rain to drive na. We had our quick breakfast at Mcdonalds sa sobrang gutom. After breakfast, we went to Tagaytay Highlands (sa labas lang ha? hehehe) to take some shots. After Highlands, we went to Good Shepherd to buy pasalubong (my favorite UBE Dimples). Then we went to Picnic Grove. We just stay there for a few minutes (less than an hour) while waiting for lunch time. We left around 11am and had our buffet lunch at Josephine's. Too bad I wasn't able to take some shots of the buffet (our food). Rain's favorite was grilled steak. As in career talaga. Sayang I wasn't able to try their desserts because of the "kabusugan". Right after lunch, I took some shots and just around 1pm we left Tagaytay. Buti nalang at wala ng traffic going home. Kakabitin! We have to be home early because of F1 (fanatic si Rain dun e).

Just about to take some pics from my family (mama and joshua) at the bridge while waiting for Rain to get the car, (ayaw na namin pumunta sa parking ang layo e.) Bigla nalang nagsigawan ang mga tao. Happy Birthday

Saturday was Rain’s Birthday. I didn’t even have any surprises for him. Kaya pag uwi ko from a friday shift, I decided to drop by Goldilocks (un lang kase ang open that time ~ 7am). Rain took a birthday leave last friday kaya nasa house lang siya. I’m thinking of surprising him of the birthday cake with candles. Para naman meron siyang i-blow that day.

Good thing Rain was still asleep nang dumating ako so I still have time to prepare for a breakfast and also to surprise him with a birthday cake. I just kiss him good morning and then I kept the cake muna inside my nephew’s room. I cooked bacon, fried rice and spaghetti for breakfast. Corny noh? hehehe! I don’t have enough time na kase e. He woke up around 30mins after ako dumating. When Rain was already seated, little did he know Joshua’s yaya where inside Joshua’s room. I was giving her signs for when and where to bring the cake out of the room. Ayun, he have no idea na I’ll be surprising him a cake. Surprise! hehehe!

Basic Gadgets

During our [photo] training, our instructor, Jun Miranda did gave us some advise in getting the basic gadgets that we should have in our camera. My gosh. Ang dami ha? Sabi nga nya. Nde naman daw masyado magastos tong hobby na to. (being sarcastic) hehehe!

He first suggested to us to buy a blower, brush for cleaning purposes. We should clean our camera every after use. Mahirap na daw ang mapasukan ang dirt. He also suggested us to buy a container where we can keep store our camera against fungus. Dami noh?

I'm also planning to buy a camera bag where I can put also my tripod. Nahirapan kase ako the last time we had our photoshoot. Parang tanga lang ako hawak ko lang ang tripod ko. Tapos iwan ko lang sa tabi everytime I shoot. Jologs! hahaha! Gastos nga... =p

Lens? Naku... I'm still thinking of what type of lens I should get. though he gave us a list of lens we should have na nde ung palit ng palit kami. Something like All-in-one. Budget? Bahala na si batman. I have to save!save!save!

Photography 101

It's been a tiring week for me. As in ngayon ko lang na-experience ang sobrang puyat and walang tulog. A minimum of 30minutes-2hours lang ang sleep ko per day. Whew! I only did file a 1 day leave kaya I was so sleepy pagdating sa work. I did take more than 1 cup of coffee para panlaban sa antok.

It was a great training for me. As in basic talaga. Now I know the difference bet aperture, shutter, underexposed, overexposed etc. Our group (batch) plan to have an e-group.

Our first day (wed), we just stayed in a classroom. All lectures. The classroom is very clean and conducive for learning. There's coffee, tea, water, snack bar inside the room. The lunch is also FREE. And its not just like a typical packed lunch because they have a canteen inside the building and cooks great food. Mind you sarap ng luto with desert pa. As if we're eating in a restaurant nga. Our lunch were buttered tanige, ribs, vegies, beef steak, chicken, shrimps etc. With dessert pa un ha? =p Hindi lang ako sanay kase mag-lunch kase I usually take my breakfast as my dinner na. But I did enjoy the lunch. Siguro panlaban ko na din sa puyat.

Second day, we had our photoshoot early in the morning (7am) at Greenbelt. Sobrang aga. Good thing, nag-leave ako a day before so I can attend the session. We learned about the proper lighting (sunlight). Kakapagod! We stayed there from 7-1oam. Then after we went back to PCCI to criticize our shots. Kakahiya at first. We had lunch then muna. And around 4pm, we went to Baywalk for the sunset. Love this activity. I was able to tried "panning" as well. We also witness bride and groom having their pictorials in front of Malate Church. Para kaming mga "paparazzi" na sumugod sa kanila. hehehe! =p I only took 2 shots. Most of our shot we're like snapshots sabi ng instructor namin (Jun Miranda) because we didn't even think of the aperture, shutter speed etc in taking the shots. Siyempre we're all excited to take shots of them. hahaha! Understandable naman daw un. hehehe! The session ended around 630pm and I was able to go home around 7pm na. Waah! I only got 1 hour sleep that night. =(

Third day, we just criticize our shots from Baywalk and some lectures as well. It was tiring for me because galing pa rin ako sa work that night. Good thing last day na! We had our group studio pictorial (scan ko muna ha? ~ I'll post it soon).

I'm planning to take a Photshop CS3 workshop or Lightroom next time. Ayusin ko muna sked ko. Hirap nung ginawa ko na walang tulog at sobrang puyat. Buti nalang since we're already included in their alumni, we have discount na. Yey! I was all worth it. Now, I just need to apply what I've learned. =p

Yesterday, we went to Mall of Asia. Wala lang. Nag-ikot ikot! As I’ve said, this was just one of our quality time for each other. I took some shots buti nalang I did brought my cam. It was so hot that time. Summer na nga talaga. Of course, Rain’s day won’t be complete without stopping at Toy Kingdom. He didn’t know I took this shot from him. (magagalit un!) =p

The whole day, I’m convincing him to whatt gift he wants for his birthday. Hindi ko talaga mapiga! Cash nalang daw. Kaya ko nga siya niyaya mag-mall is also for me to find him a gift. ‘Cash nalang daw!’ hahaha! Sa kakaikot namin, ayun ako tuloy ang nakabili. Yep. Bumili na naman ako ng shoes. Good thing I got it on sale. hehe! Sa laki ng mall, napagod kami and we decided to have lunch at Don Henrico’s. Rain was craving for Buffalo Wings, kaya I suggested na dun kami maglunch bec of their famous Buffalo Wings. We just ordered it with their classic pizza. Since Rain’s first time to dine in at Don Henrico’s, he was shocked with how big the chicken wings!

After we had lunch, I said to myself na hahanap talaga ako ng gift for him. Kaya kinulit ko na naman siya. Then, we saw Adidas and sabi ko pasok tayo. Naku ON SALE! As in all items. Tapos I saw one na 50% discount and for sure Rain will love it. Pinakita ko sa kanya and he like it. Sabi ko you should try it. Bad trip because he’s not wearing any socks. Naka-sandals lang kami that time. Urggh! Kaya sabi ko, let’s buy socks nalang muna. Kuripot kase un e pagdating sa gamit nya! Good thing, nung lumabas kami ng store, meron nagbebenta ng socks On SALE as well! Ay walang tanong-tanong bumili ako and tinignan muna siya kung malambot or makapal. Medyo particular kase siya sa socks e. Kaya ayun, bumili ako and we went back to Adidas to try his size. I was crossing my fingers na sana meron silang size. Hay! Rain’s size was 9. The size they only have is 9.5! Nyaks… but when he tried it. Buti nalang kasya lang. Hehehe! Ayun, sa kakakulit ko binili na rin nya. hehehe! =p

We end up with a few shopping bags for ourselves. Waaaahhh! good thing there’s a credit card. It’s definitely for emergency! hahaha!

Procrastinating

It's been a week now since my last post. Darn! Bad blogger. I was procrastinating for the past week. Halos nakaharap lang ako sa laptop almost everyday and still I haven't accomplished anything. Pero hindi naman lahat hindi ko natatapos. We're done with our wedding video. Last monday, we went to give the copy of the pics and songs for video. We'll just have to wait for a month. I'm excited and can't wait for it. =p

It's been a couple of weeks na and I'm still not done cleaning files from the laptop. I have hundreds of shots that I need to sort out as usual hindi ko matapos tapos. My sister is also pressuring me to put joshua's (her son) pics to her blog so she can view it from to time and para naman ma-update siya. I'm still thinking of creating a multiply or flickr account for her. There's tons of pics as well and mahirap i-download sa blog. Whew!

I've been working on this for more than a week. I just hope I can finish everything this coming weekend. =p

I know I've already wrote a lot of times regarding my basic photography training. It just so happened that yesterday I received a call from them that my training was moved to April 9-10-11 (9am-5pm) instead of April 16-17-18. Too bad because I filed a leave ng 18. And I can't move it anymore because unahan ang pag-plot ng leave! Kaya goodluck saken. My work shift starts at 10pm till 7am. Wala etong tulugan! Good luck to me...

Wedding Video

Finally, I got the time to finish our wedding video. Sa tagal-tagal ng panahon! =p Finally, I'm done choosing songs for just less than 2 hours. I just ask Rain this morning kung ok na ba sa kanya ung mga choices ko. So far so good. Basta kung ano naman daw ang gusto ko ok lang. Ok naman daw ang taste ko! hehehe! Buti nalang... at least konteng edit nalang ako with the songs. So, by friday we'll go to there. Goodluck to us! They told us that it'll take 1 month only to finish the video. Kaya parang nanghihinayang ako sa time we've wasted na sana natapos na namin un dati pa. Well, ganon na nga talaga tinamad kami ni Rain e. Hay! =p

Yesterday, Easter, Rain & I went to Glorietta together with my nephew (joshua), mom and the yayas. We went to our usual tambay place ~ Timezone. Of course we play Rain's favorite "Deal or No Deal". He won't quit I'd tell you hanggang hindi siya nakakakuha ng mataas na points in which pati ako na-addict na rin. hehehe!

Anyways, we had fun. Joshua had fun! Parang meron kaming instant "baby" ni Rain. My mom wa saying, "pag nagka-baby na kami naku baka nde na namin mapansin si Joshua. Kaya lubus-lubusin na daw hahaha!"

Then, before we went home I ask Rain if we could check out "Camera Haus". Wala lang tingin lang ako. Then, I just inquired about the Canon EF 50mm f1.8 II Lens, kaya lang out of stock. Kaya eto nalang nauwi ko, Canon EOS 58mm Filter! hehe! Gastos grabe! =p

Rain and I woke up as early as 3am this morning! I don't know what's with us. hehe! We slept as early as 5pm (sat). =p We had an early breakfast and attended mass as early as 4am. We're lucky as well because we were able to attend the "Salubong" (This ritual is popularly known to Filipinos because this is done in a procession where the men and women are separated and coming from different directions. But they eventually meet in front of the church).

Last Sat, I was able to attend my inaanak's 2nd birthday. Too bad because Rain wasn't able to attend because of emergency team building from their department (IT). So, I decided to bring along my nephew ~ Joshua (of course with the yaya!).

Parang naging reunion namin un ng mga former officemates from our previous company (SVI) na halos lahat buntis! And as usual, natanong na naman ako at baket nde pa ako nabubuntis. Hahawaan nalang daw nila ako. Parang bulutong daw un. Imagine 3 silang buntis?

The party was held @ Mcdonald's (Quezon Ave). I was able to cover the party. hehehe! Here's some of the shots I took.

Sunday, Rain & I celebrated our monthsary over lunch at Teriyaki Boy (glorietta). Yes! We still do celebrate monthly anniversary (16). In our small special way, we make it a point we give importance to this date. Corny as other may say. But that's our way of showing how important our love for each other by spending time together. =p

I've been waiting for this since last year. I was so inip of the showing. Parang sobrang tagal. I was bloghopping through Jen's blog and I found this.

I was an avid fan of the series few years back. And now, there's a movie, can't wait. Good thing we'll have to wait for less than 3 months. Yey! =p

When I saw their advertisement along Edsa, I ask Rain if we could watch Toto's concert. We both love them. Halos kinalakihan na din namin ung music nila. Though start of the year a lot of foreign artist are having concert in our country. Sino bang makakapagsabi na naghihirap na ang Pilipinas? Halos sunod-sunod ang concerts and laging sold-out. And even as far as April, concert venues are already booked for foreign acts. And this coming April 3, the Grammy Award winning American rock band Toto will arrive in the country to perform at the Araneta Coliseum.
Toto, which was formed in 1976, continues to tour around the world, performing its signature hits like "Rosanna" and "I’ll Be Over You."
Tickets for Toto Live in Manila cost P4,410; P3,885; P2,835; P1,785; P840; and P525. Kaya Rain told me to call Ticketnet right away na. Malamang mauubos yan. Excited! We're planning to buy the tickets as early as this coming weekend. Mahirap na maubusan. Dun lang kami sa mura hahaha! =p

MARCOS Kase!

Last sunday we went to Megamall. On our way there, we use edsa para nde traffic. It only took us less than 15 mins from our place (makati) to mandaluyong. Then, when we're on guadalupe Rain still use the Crossing-Ilalim instead of the Crossing-Ibabaw which he opted not to use kase dami bus. But then again, ilalim pa rin siya, pero akala ko dun na siya kakanan sa may ADB Ave going to Megamall which dadaan nalang kami sa may Podium going to Megamall. Pero Rain after the "Ilalim" he turned right agad-agad going to Megamall which hinarang kami ng MMDA. Of course, we stopped! Sabi lang "mali po boss ung ginawa nyo kase bawal kumanan dun, merong sign na NO RIGHT TURN dun". Rain just said, "wala po kami nakita, pasensiya na po!". Rain was very apologetic that time pero the MMDA told us na titiketan daw kami. Then, he ask kung taga-san ba kami. We told him, "Makati". Then, he told us, "e Makati lang pala e. naku, pahiram lisensiya". Rain gave his license right away, but still apologetic and keep on saying, "psensiya na po"! But when the MMDA saw Rain's last name... "E MARCOS ka pala e... O cge, sa susunod ha! Wag nyo na ulitin" Ayun, binigay ule ang license at hindi kami tiniketan! hahaha =p

Lesson learned: "wag na wag kakalimutan ang ID" hahaha! =p

New Monitor

I've been convincing Rain to buy a new monitor for our pc. I'm eyeing on this. Love the wide screen. Our old monitor is also Samsung but it has glitches na hindi ko maintindihan. It's kinda old and parang nakakalabo ng mata. Kaya halos laspag na laspag ang laptop sken. I told him ayaw ko na kase laging gamitin ang laptop because it has only 80G HD, kulang halos sken lalo na sa mga shots ko. Nahihirapan tuloy ako sa kakalipat-lipat ng files here and there.

Siguro konteng kulit ko pa... =p I'm keeping my fingers-crossed!

Just this morning, we went to Megamall and bought a portable tripod. We stopped by at a CANON store and check if the tripod we saw last 2 weeks ago were still available. Last Saturday, Rain & I together with our friend Belle, went to Trinoma to watch a movie (My Big Love). It was a feel good movie I can say. =p Right after the movie, Rain was joking if there were video or "interviews" about the movie. Then, there was. We were shy then going outside the movie house, but we can't just wait there. So, we went outside, and we're ask if we love the movie. We just say Yes! hahaha :)

We had fun taking pictures inside the mall's park. It was really nice. When I downloaded the pics. I really never thought that we're in the philippines. Very nice view! =P

Lost!

Last week right before we left for Baguio, Rain lost his celphone from the taxi. Darn! He didn't realize it until such time na meron na siyang tatawagan and that's after an hour na. Nyak! His phone was not that really "top of the line" phone most of the people we know. He's not particular kase sa gadget basta nakaka-text and call. Though we got the phone for FREE from Sun (cellular) tapos kaka-renew palang nya ng contract after 2 years, hindi masyado mabigat. What's his after was the phonebook from the sim.

We called for a couple of times and ayun ring pa rin ng ring. Baka hindi pa nare-realize ng driver na someone left a celphone from his taxi. We tried calling like 5 times muna then called sun to temporarily disconnect the line baka kung sino-sino pa ang tawagan nun. Mahirap na! Kaya when we arrived at Baguio, during our 2nd day, we went to Sun (SM) to get another sim. Pero wala pa ring phone. =(

Then, monday morning, we went to Makati to buy his phone. Actually, nandun palang kami sa Baguio, he's eyeing to something very affordable and super-low-tech. Ayaw na daw nya ng mamahalin para hindi mabigat sa bulsa pag nawala. Rain commutes everyday from work. Ayaw nya magdala because of the high parking rate in Makati. Saka ung pede lang daw nya maiwan sa table nya na walang magkaka-interest. hehehe!

I was convincing him to buy the Samsung (slide-black - na hindi ko matandaan ang model) which is so nipis ang sobrang gaan! Oo daw maganda un, pero kung ganon daw palit kami nalang ng phone. I'll give my other phone (ericsson K750i) which is originally his phone, at ako na daw ang gumamit kung ano ang gusto ko. E ayaw ko naman because luma na masyado. Pero after a long persuassion, bumagsak kami dito pa din. Siya pa rin nanalo hehehe!

Baguio Here We Come

Yep! Tomorrow we'll be going to Baguio. I'm excited! Now, I'm suppose to pack our bags but still I'm bloghopping. hehehe! Inuna ko pa mag-blog! Susme! Ayun, nakalabas na ung bag and some of my shirts but still wala pa din... nakakalat pa din. Rain was telling me na "o baka naman sandamakmak na naman ang dala mo?3d/2n lang tayo".hehehe! Sigurista kase ako e, I don't want to bring clothes na sakto lang. Actually, I list down all the necessities we should bring for tomorrow pero parang ang dami masyado. Natatawa lang ako! Of course one of the major gadget I should bring is my CAM. Naku, please lang talaga! Hahaha... =p

It's already 1pm and I'm still writing this post. I have work pa later this evening. Waaah =( I'm still updating my iPod din, because few months ago, naku nawala lahat ng songs na nandun. Grrrr! Almost 4,000++ songs kaya nandun. Ngayon, I have to update it. Ewan ko ba baket nagkaganon. Kaya magta-tyaga nalang ako sa less than 200 songs na nandun. Kainis! I don't have time na to update the songs pa. Sana lang magkaroon ako ng time. Ang tagal ko pa nman kina-reer un, from the song title to album pati na rin artwork or album cover. Haba pa naman ng biyahe! Hay...

But anyways, I'm still thinking of bringing the laptop with us in order for me to upload some pics from the Panagbenga Festival. I heard ABS-CBN will cover the festivities. We'll dami tao nun for sure! Can't wait! =p Photos!

Yesterday, Rain & I went to greenhills and bought a 4G compact flash card for my cam. I was torn between 2G or 4G. Since, I have 1G only, na halos nauubos ko sa isang trip. I decided to buy the 4G instead for our baguio trip this coming friday. Rain was saying ang gastos daw ang hobby ko hehehe. I was thinking of buying a tripod as well, sabi ko isa-isa muna. hehehe! Gastos masyado! Next month nalang. I saw this flexible tripod I wanted when I saw this on the web. But Rain told me na mas ok ung nakita namin when we went to Canon in Megamall, mas expensive but looks sturdy and more professional rather than this one. Parang laruan daw. hehehe! =p Buti nalang daw at meron akong hubby na supportive sa "hobby" ko. hahaha! Masyado daw magastos! =p Ganon?!

Laptop

My sister is requesting me to order her a laptop over the web. She prefers DELL. So, she gave me Dell's website to check the specs on what's the best deal. Since, I'm very clueless about it, I told Rain to choose the laptop suitable for her. Although she prefers, Dell Inspiron and wants blue one. I will be ordering it online and have it delivered to their office. She's afraid to order it through her credit card daw! Kaya ako nalang daw besides she don't know what specs should have in a laptop. =p

I'll be ordering it by tomorrow as soon as Rain already decided for the specs suitable for my sister. I wonder if I can order for myself? nyahaha! =p Gagalit si Rain!

Post Valentine

Rain & I celebrated Valentines Day and Monthsary over buffet breakfast at Heat (Edsa Shang). He fetch me after my shift and go straight to Edsa Shang.

Right after breakfast we went to Megamall maiba naman. Wala lang. Naglibot-libot. We were able to buy DVDs as well. Rain bought The Chipmunks and Juno. We wasn't able to watch movie yesterday kaya sa bahay nalang. Last few weeks ago kase we bought a few dvd movies na hindi pa showing and since then nde pa rin namen napapanood. Walang time kase e hehehe! We went home around 3pm and I was so tired already. =p We both had a great time!

Valentine Gift

I didn't receive my usual Valentine gift which is 'flowers'. But this is what I got... Yey! I was surprise because thursday morning, after work sabi lang nya, pasensiya daw kase nde siya nakabili ng gift for me. Which I understand naman because both of us were busy sa work and the worst is sobrang conflicting ang work schedule namin. Kaya the time we have is weekend. Buti nalang at this week, same ang rest day namin (sat & sun). Minsan lang mangyari to kaya we'll make the most out of it.

Anyways, ang alam ko lang talaga is we'll have post-valentine celebration nalang on the 16 (sat) and 16 was also part of our monthsary. Yes, we still celebrate monthsary! corny noh?! But we are! Though its not a requirement to have a gift for each other, basta we make it a point that we go out or dine out o basta magkasama kami! =p We're not yet decided whether dinner or lunch, but I prefer dinner nalang para romantic hahaha! So un nga, I woke up around 930pm and he's home already. Then he handed me a box.... and greeted me Happy Valentine's Day & Happy Monthsary!

Postponed Basic Training

I got a call from Jenny Briones (Jun Miranda's assistant) informing me that my (Canon's) basic photography training was re-scheduled to April 16-18. Sad! =( Though I'm too excited about it, I'm glad also it was re-scheduled due to my work schedule. They will inform me ahead of time if there are some changes just in case!
