Change Date!
Rain & I decided to change the date for their Pamamanhikan. Instead of July 2, we'll move it to July 9. Due to unavoidable and different schedules. We'll do it the traditional way of Pamamanhikan, "asking for the girl’s parents’ permission to wed the affianced pair." The custom symbolizes honor and respect for the parents, seeking their blessing and approval before getting married". During pamamanhikan, "the man and his parents bring some pasalubong (gifts). It is also at this time that the wedding date is formally set, and the couple become engaged to get married".
Rain & I have been together for more than 3 years and both parents - both moms [we both don't have dads na =(!] Both Rain & I were excited because this would be the first time my mom and her mom will meet. =p
