Missalette Cover
Erra, fellow w@wie volunteered to do our missalette cover. Sobrang bait! =p Super thanks grabe! I really like their missalette cover. Kaya lang hindi kase ako marunong kung how can I come up with something like that. Kaya she ask me kung ano motif namin and the pictures of our church. And after few days. It's done! Grabe ang galing! Super thanks sis! Ngayon naman, I'm having a hard time choosing between these 3 designs. Whew =p Whatchutink?

Busy Weekend!

I missed blogging. For 4 straight days, I haven't been checking my email & my blog. Nakaka-miss pala. I'm having a hard time adjusting to my new work schedule (12midnight to 9am). I have to wake up by 10pm and leav around 11:30pm. By 11:45 nasa office na ako! Ang bilis noh? Wala na masyado traffic. But the sad part is pag uwi naman, waaahhh! Ang traffic na! I almost consume 45mins to 1hour for travel dahil sa traffic. And everytime I have to open my computer, I'm having a hard time connecting to the net. Hay! =p Dial-up lang kase ako e. hehehe =p So, I end up giving up!
Anyways, here's what happened for the past few days with non-wedding preps and wedding preps as well.
Thursday - Color coding day for me! I hate thursday. I hate it because I don't have to use my car for a day! I have no problems with it nung 9pm t0 5am pa work schedule ko. I have a lot of time to travel from Ortigas (before) & now from Boni, Mandaluyong. But now, grabe! Hindi na pwede because my work ends by 9am. So, may color-coding na! And kahit na may window na 10pm - 3pm, wala pa rin akong lusot because I have to pass through Makati. Kahit saan ako dumaan na short-cut! Last resort is taxi. For the longest time, hindi na ako nakakasakay ng taxi. And Rain was very worried about me riding a taxi ng ganun time. medyo shunga-shunga kase ako when commuting. So, what we did is he he fetch me pa din. Kahit na ang work nya is 6am. So, sweet noh?! But he insist. Kaya paggising ko, dito na siya. Antok na antok! =( Parang na-guilty naman tuloy ako!
Anyways, after work. I went to his office in Ortigas to have breakfast with him. Sumabay ako with some of my officemate going to Ortigas. We're suppose to meet sa Podium to have breakfast. However, natagalan siya 'coz may kailangan siyang tapusin. So, I ended up having breakfast with my officemates. But that's ok! So, Nag-meet kami around 10:30am na! And we went to Megamall to buy gift for Duncan (Rain's nephew) & check out Onesimus. We're undecided whether to buy it off the rack or custom-made! Though, rain's mom already checked Onesimus for their suit. So, what we did is checked their rates and ung fitting. Rain tried the large size. Naku, kinda maluwag ng konte. Ang haba ang sleeves. But feeling ni Rain parang masikip daw. Ngek?! E ang haba na nga ng sleeves e. The length of the coat is kinda long. Parang nahahabaan ako. Sabi nung manager, medyo maluwag nga nag konte sa kanya pagdating sa sleeves. So, I think dapat talaga magpa-custom-made nalang kami. We checked their prices, mas mahal ang custom-made. They quote us more than 10K. It's between 12-16K daw. Tapos ung fabric hindi pa wool. They'll use polyester lang daw. Ngek? Ang mahal naman! Pag off-the-rack naman, will cost us 10K. That includes only Coat, Pants, Inner Shirt or long sleeves and the fabric is not wool. Nyak! It's still cheaper dun sa quote sa amin ni Tita Veluz, which already includes pants, coat, long sleeves, vest tapos ang fabric pa is wool. And the price is only 10K. So, definitely! Veluz it is!
*****
Saturday - we attended Duncan's Birthday Party @ Jollibee, Roosevelt. Together with my family, Mama, Karen & Joshua.
Mommy (my MIL) & Rain introduced me with his family. We gave them our Save-The-Date. Escpecially to our principal sponsors. We informed them about the wedding and we'll to schedule kung kelan kami punta sa kanila to pay them a visit & to formally inform them. Some of them insist na wag na daw. Ok na daw un na wag na kami pumunta. But we insist na punta pa din kami. We want them to feel important. Lalo na para makita nila na we exerted effort for getting them as our principal sponsors.
The party was a blast. =p Syang lang wla kami picture ni Rain with him. hehehe! (bumalik ba daw sa pagkabata???! =p).

After the party, we went straight to Rain's house. Dun muna kami ng stay with my family, kwentuhan! Then, have to leave before 6pm coz we have to attend another 1st birthday party. Inaanak kase ni Rain un. Hindi kase kami nakapunta nung binyag, kaya nakakahiya! Kahit na antok na antok na ako from work. Hindi pa ako natutlog that day! Whew! =p We just stayed there for a couple of hours and left around 10pm. Grabe! 24hours ako gising! And I have to wake up early pa because we'll buy my tela na for my gown in Divisoria. At baka pagalitan na ako ni Veluz, because I'll have my second fitting na on August 4. And Niko already texted me about it. Kaya when we arrived home, wala ng kwentuhan kay Mama. Antok na ako sobra!

*****

Sunday - I woke up around 8:00am. Grabe! And by 8:15 dating na si Rain. Hay! I took a bath agad. Both of them (Rain & mama) insist na mag-commute nalang at mag-jeep. Mahirap daw ang car dun. Tapos umuulan pa nun. When we left, hindi na umuulan. So, nagpatila muna kami. Grabe para kaming basang sisiw. Buti nalang at kasama namin si Mama 'coz she knows the INs & OUTs of Divisoria. Konte lang ang tao kse Sunday.

We go straight to Always Bridal. She already include all the fabrics I have to buy and their corresponding prices. Not bad! We computed na kase na it'll cost us 3,900 pesos. We only got it for 3,300 pesos! Galing! Kung ako siguro un. Hala! Hindi kase ako marunong tumawad e. hehehe!

Out of the 4 fabrics I have to buy, ung stock nila for light satin is on the other store. Then, I called Veluz to inform about it. And that's ok lang daw. Good thing is, meron naman daw pupunta na tao nya dun, kaya pede isabay nalang. And we decided na isama na rin ung ibang fabrics para wala na kaming bitbitin. Medyo madami din kase siya e. Tapos umuulan pa. Para hindi na hassle na pumunta pa ako sa shop just to bring all the tela. O diba?! Galing!

We went to 168 mall. Yes! it's my first time! Grabe ang daming mura. You have a lot of choices. Compared to greenhills, mas mura pa din dun. I was looking for container kase ng 1 decade rosary na souvenirs namin. E ang hirap humanap. One of the option sana din is ung parang pouch na malambot, colors blue or silver! Sobrang nahirapan kami. Sabi ko sa ibang araw nalang siguro.

Then, we went to this store na halos lahat ng tinda nya pareho sa Regalong Pambahay! I was amazed kase ang mura lang nya. Then, I saw this 6-pc. table cloth with chopsticks which is great gift for our Ninangs. Rain liked it as well as my mom. It's really elegant! I won't tell you how much! hehehe =p Basta reasonable enough! We also bought wine dress for our Ninongs. We decided to give them wines kase, para medyo elegant ang lalagyan we bought na rin para terno with the Ninangs hehehe! I won't tell also how much! =p

6-pc. table placemats w/ chopsticks

We left Divisioria / 168 Mall around 2:30pm. We need to go to Podium pa kse for our rings. It's ready for pick up na! But that's ok. We went home to freshen up. And it's kinda late na rin. Kaya we re-sched na lang by 6:30pm. Suppose to be kase 3pm. Good thing 'coz we have to buy wines for our principal sponsors. Pupuntahan na kase namin next week. We have to start na. So we bought 12 bottles of red wine from Marks & Spencer. Good thing, they gave discounts if we'll buy dozen. And they wrapped it individually. Nice! =p

our tokens for our principal sponsors

We also check out some boxes for the 6-pc table placemats w/ chopsticks. Hirapan kami humanap ng boxes. My plan is to buy box and then covered it with silver wapper and accentuate with blue ribbon. Good thing meron sa SM. And we brought one sample with us to make sure na kasya ang bibilhin namin. We only bought 1 muna. Hanap kami sa iba pa. However, I'm having a hard time looking for silver wrapper.

Around 6:15pm we left Megamall. Dun na kase kami nag-park. Ang hirap sa Podium ang liit. And mahihipan kami kung sa Podium kami nagpark tapos we have to bring all the wines from Megamall. Bigat nun! Tawid lang kami going to Podium. Sobrang excited kami ni Rain. Mixed emotions e. Hindi namin alam baket!

When we got there, Belle showed us the rings and when we opened it. Wow! Parang gumanda siya! Or baka kase when we saw it the last time, yellow gold pa siya. Kaya hindi pa naman masyado na-appreciate ng konte (hindi appreciate? e hindi nga ako makatulog nun at hindi ko akalimutan! hehehe) what more pang finished product?! =p We fit our rings again. And it was really nice & very beautiful. When we left Themes & Motifs, Rain jsut said "Ang ganda! Lalo siyang gumanda!". I was surprised na coming from him. He's not the type kase na nagko-comment agad pag hindi ko tanungin. But then, siya na mismo ang ang nagsalita! So, happy! Very happy! =p

Marriage 1-2-3-4-5
I've been receiving a lot of emails from friends about marriage, getting married, etc. etc. Well, I want to share with you this one, kinda funny though! Ooppss... Parental Guidance (PG-18) hehehe =p Enjoy!

Marriage - (Part I)

Typical macho man marries typical good-looking woman and after the wedding,he laid down the following rules: "I'll be home when I want, if I want and at what time I want and I don't expect any hassle from you. I expect a great dinner to be on table unless I tell you that I won't be home for dinner. I'll go hunting, fishing, boozing and card-playing when I want with my old buddies and don't you give me a hard time about it. Those are my rules! Any comments?" His new bride says, "No, that's fine with me. Just understand that there will be sex here at seven o'clock every night whether you're here or not."(SHE'S GOOD!)
*****
Marriage (Part II)
Husband and wife have a bitter quarrel on the day of their 40th wedding anniversary! The husband yells, "When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads: "Here Lies My Wife - Cold As Ever " "Yeah?" she replies. "When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads: "Here Lies My Husband Stiff At Last"(HE ASKED FOR IT!)
*****
Marriage (Part III)
Husband (a doctor) and his wife are having a fight at the breakfast table. Husband gets up in a rage and says, "You're no good in bed either!" and storms out of the house. After sometime, he realizes he was nasty and decides to make amends and rings her up. She comes to the phone after many rings, and the irritated husband says, "What took you so long to answer the phone?" She says, "I was in bed." "In bed this early, doing what?" She says, "Getting a second opinion!"(YEP, HE HAD THAT ONE COMING, TOO!)
*****
Marriage (Part IV)
A man has six children and is very proud of his achievements. He is so proud of himself, that he starts calling his wife, "Mother of Six" in spite of her objections. One night, they go to a party. The man decides that it's time to go home and wants to find out if his wife is ready to leave as well. He shouts at the top of his voice, "Shall we go home 'Mother of Six?' His wife, irritated by her husband's lack of discretion, shouts right back, "Anytime you're ready, Father of Four."(DITTO!)
*****
Marriage (Part V)
The Silent Treatment. A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight. Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM." He left it where he knew she would find it. The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up." Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests. God may have created man before woman, but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece.
Who need a laugh?........and to men you think can handle it!!! =p

Happy 39th Monthsary

It's exactly 5 months before our wedding day! =p Wow! Time really flies so fast. Alala ko pa. Last time, parang inip na inip na kami ni Rain 'coz we started doing our preps by June of 2005. However, some of the suppliers as early as last year were accepting bookings already. At ung iba, booked na sa date namin. Wow! Kakagulat. And now, it's already 5 months to go. Nakaka-pressure tuloy. =p

Yesterday, we went to Podium (Themes & Motifs) to fit our rings. Grabe! We're so happy with the outcome. Honestly, on the way to Podium, I was kinda nervous with the outcome. When we already tried it. Ganda talaga! Wala ako masabi. Though yellow gold pa din siya 'coz it needs plating pa! Nagulat ako sa dami ng diamonds. Then we count the diamonds as Mye & Belle indicated. Then Rain & I were confused kung saan ba talaga ung wedding ring? Left o right? hehehe! =p From what I know, left siya. Since nandun ung e-ring tapos dun din ilalagay ang wedding ring. The size already fits me. However, ung kay Rain naman sa left maluwag and sa right naman tamang-tama lang. Kaya naguluhan kami kung whether its right or left. Then, we even ask Jasmine (Mendiola). Yes! Nandun nga siya. May client to do a TMU. From what she knows sa right daw. Pero depende daw sa priest. Well, cge na nga! Ok na nga un. They said na after a week, the rings are done already. Gulat naman kami. Ang bilis naman sobra. We just said na wag madaliin. Kahit 1st week of August ok lang. Kaya by next week ready for pick up na. Hay! So excited! And parang ayaw na namin bitawan! Kaya when we left, I keep on saying kay Rain na hindi ko makalimutan ung rings. Ang ganda ganda! =p

Then from Ortigas, we went to Glorietta to have dinner and watch a movie to celebrate our 39th monthsary. We had dinner first at our favorite restaurant in Greenbelt, The Red Crab! Whew! After dinner, we went back to glorietta to watch as movie, Lovewrecked! The movie was funny. On a carribean cruise, Jenny Riley (Amanda Bynes), is marooned on a beach with her rock and roll idol. Deliriously in love with the time of being alone with him, she manages to hide the fact that they are a stone's throw away from their resort. Kaka-aliw. Though it's already a typical movie for Amanda that she has to admit the truth in the end like her other movie, She's The Man. However, she gives justice to her role. I see her having a resemblance with Jennifer Aniston (oopps...tingin ko lang un ha?! baka magalit saken mga Aniston fans hehe! =p). Both of us had fun watching the movie. Happy 39th monthsary Labidoodle!

I can't help it e =p (psensiya na medyo malabo kase phone lang gamit namin) Gold pa siya kaya needs plating pa! White gold kase ang gusto namin! =p

Bridesmaid Measurement
Yesterday, my bridesmaid had their measurement with Zandra. As usual, late na naman kami. I set a schedule with Zandra around 5pm kami makakadating sa shop nya 'coz my 2 bridesmaids, Liselle & Ani has class pa up to 3pm. As usual, lagi kami late! Sana lang sa wedding ko nde sila ma-late. hehe =p We both agreed na sa Powerplant nalang kami mag-meet para malapit sa school nila Ani & Liselle at para maka-sunod agad. We're supposed to meet Liezel also, but something came up kaya dun nalang kami mag-mi-meet sa shop. So, sila Marj (which is from Bacoor) & Emma (from QC na din), Ani & Liselle nalang ang meet namin. As usual, si Mindy laging missing in action (joke lang. miss ka na kase namin! hehe =p).
Anyways, we left Powerplant between 5:45-6pm. E meeting namin 5pm. Kaya I immediately called Zandra nma medyo male-late kami. Buti nalang at ok lang sa kanya. Nandun na nga si Liezel ng 5pm. So, nag-convoy nalang kami. Sakay kami lahat sa car ni Emma, while Rain is alone. Wawa! =( We arrived 6:30pm. Alam na kse namin na ma-traffic that time, kaya Rain was able to find an alternative route from Powerplant to E. Rodriguez.
At least after the shop hours nya. Thank you, thank you! =p
I try getting a shot para sa lahat while taking their measurement. Sad to say na-lowbat =( hehe! I only had the chance to take a picture of Marj & Ani.
(top: Marj w/ Zandra, bottom: w/Ani)
After the measurement, we already discuss if the design is already final. Everyone decided to change nalang. Nagustuhan ung 2nd design for the maid of honor. hehe =p She'll be using all chiffon fabric. The colors are the same blue and the accent is aqua. Actually, maganda nga siya. I personally like it. They want kase na ung gown is pwede pang gamitin after the wedding. At hindi mukhang pang-abay! =p
However, with Emma's gown she wants to cover her back. It's still the same design, Zandra re-design nalang based on her preference. Pero maganda kinalabasan. Hindi ko nga lang nakuha ung design. She'll just send it to me nalng daw.

(new design for the bridemaids)

We also set the 1st fitting on September 9, Saturday. Zandra make it a point na before the end of the July, tapos na lahat ng measurement ng entourage para daw hindi magahol sa oras.

We left the shop 7:30pm. We decided to have dinner nalang within QC area. We had our dinner at the SPOON near Abs-Cbn. The place was a bit cozy. And everyone of us we're a bit hesitant as first. Un nga ang nangyari. Haha! We're a bit disappointed with it. They have small servings. For us, it was really not worth the penny. Kaya after dinner, we decided to eat pa din. Rain was very hungry pa din. So, we went to Heaven & Eggs along Tomas Morato. Sana nga lang dun nalang kami kumain. hahaha! =p At last nabusog daw siya. Natapos kami ng around 11pm and decided to call it a day. It was very tiring but happy! =p

**********

Before I forget, later we'll celebrate our 39th Monthsary. This afternoon, we'll go to Podium to meet with Belle of Matus for our ring fittings. Ang bilis diba? We'll have a glimpse of our wedding rings na. So excited! =p kung pede nga lang iuwi na e. Excited! Excited! Excited! =p

New Work Schedule - Another Wedding Pics
Yesterday, we're suppose to go to divisoria to buy the fabrics for my gown. However, dahil sa sobrang lakas ng ulan, wasn't able to. Aside from color-coding, my mom is not feeling well. Whew!? =( So, we decided na next week nalang, pag wala na ang bagyo!
Next week, starting Monday, I will have a different work schedule na! It'll going to be 12am to 9am. Yep! Madaling araw ng morning up to 9am! Waaah!!!! Since it's a client request, wala talaga kaming magagawa. I don't know kung mahihirapan ako dun. Ever since kase for the past 6years, I've been working on a graveyard shift from 10pm to 6am or pag DST (Daylight Saving Time) naman from 9pm to 5am. His schedule is from 6am to 3pm. Ok na sana ung 9pm to 5am ko e, para after work he can still visit me at home & hatid naman ako before siya umuwi. So ngayon naman with this new schedule of mine, hala! Goodluck! Malamang every weekend nalang kami magkita which is the total opposite sa nakasanayan namin na halos everyday kami magkasama! Hay! Ma-tetempt nga lang ako sa mall! hahaha! =p I don't have to wait for more than 3 to 4 hours para lang mag-open ang mall. hehe. Naku, uwi na agad ako. Mahirap na! I still have a lot of bills to settle, from credit cards, phone bills, car insurance, car registration etc etc! Whew! Waaahhh Goodluck! =p

*******

Janice shared their wedding pics. Grabe! =p Calling Mimi & Karl... hehehe!

1st Fitting & Pamamanhikan
Friday - After my thursday shift, Rain & I went straight home and had our breakfast sa hindi masyado naming kinakainan na Mcdonalds (wala ng choice! Though we're not that really gutom naman, kaya mcdo nlang! =p
We go straight to a car wash dahil sobrang dumi na talaga. Since ulan kase ng ulan, nakakatamad at walang time magpa-car wash! Hay! Anyways, since sa Sunday na rin ang Pamamanhikan, we decided to order food from a restaurant para dun nalang magpaluto. Konte lang naman kami e. 5 from Rain's side and 3 naman from my side! We ordered relyenong bangus, chopsuey, barbeque and of course a bucket of KFC fried chicken. While my sister naman cooked tuna pasta and mom do the buko salad! So, anong contribution ko?hehehe! Wala! =p I was planning to cook adobo (which is my specialty! magbuhat ba daw ng sariling upuan?! sabi un ni Rain. Syempre love your own!) but siyempre madami na daw kase e. baka hindi nga maubos.
Around 10:45am we left our house for my fitting. It's only 10-15mins away lang from our home kase e. And the sad part, on the way to Veluz, umambon! Grrrr! When we arrived there, bungad lang saken, "Ready na ha?" I was just smiling and very nervous. I don't know why!
When we're already inside the room, syempre nasa labas si Rain. Pagka-suot ko na nung "katcha", I ask Niko to call Rain to take a look and of course pictures na rin. Celphone lang nya dala namin. And ang nakakainis pa is nde man lang ako nagsuot ng strapless! Hmp! =( Hindi ko man lang naisip un! Kaya medyo hiya din ako when Rain was taking pictures of me. And to think black pa ung bra ko! hahaha =p Kaya next time! Hay!
Then Veluz attached the sample train that she'll be using. Para ma-feel ko daw kung gano kahaba! And buti nalang at meron siyang sample dun! It's like 4yards. But when she attached the train, wow! ang bigat nya sobra! Or maybe because I'm wearing "katcha" lang and light lang ung tela na un! Basta sabi lang ni Veluz, "Ano? Ok na ba? kaya?". Yeah! Of course, kaya ko naman. I just need to choose the beadworks on the train. Whether to use a white beads or silver. But I want silver, and Veluz also want silver para may glittering effect. She'll use white gazaar kaya un nalang. We'll decide nalang by Aug 4, my 2nd fitting!
After the fitting, we fnalize the cost of the gown! Hindi naman daw! hehehe =p We agreed na I'll just shoulder the fabric. She was really kind and honest to tell us kung san kami makakatipid. Oo nga naman if we'll provide the fabric, makaka-save kami ng around 6,000 pesos! O diba? From the initial pricing she did, halos konte lang ang dinagdag namin! Buti nalang! :) Then she gave the sample fabrics that I have to buy as well as kung san ko bibilhin and their corresponding prices per yard. O diba? Galing! When we computed, it's between 3,900-4000 Php lang magagastos ko! Ayos! The, after discussing my gown, sa suit naman ni Rain. However, she don't have the sample yet of the fabric. Though matagal pa naman. Tinatawaran pa namin hehehe! =p (tama ba naman na tipidin?!). We just stayed there for an hour kse dami nya pa a-assist. Dami client ng tita mo! Galing! We left there happy! =p Na-excite tuloy ako sa 2nd fitting! Though I have meet her again before the 2nd fitting to bring the fabric. Hay! Lalo akong na-eexcite! =p
Ganda noh?! I really fell in love with this! =p
The sample swatches of the fabrics I have to buy!
**********
Sunday - Last night, Rain & his family went to our house for the Pamamanhikan. They arrived 6pm. It was scary at first and sobrang nakakakaba!=p But it went well naman! Thank God! Both Rain & I were very nervous that day!
I woke up around 5am. And help with the cleaning! =p Parang nag-general cleaning na nga kami nung saturday palang! Para hindi na masyado maglilinis by sunday! It was so tiring. Because galing pa ako ng work nun. I'm off by 5am from friday shift and by 530am nasa house na kami. Nagluto lang ako ng hotdog, tuna with egg and fried rice. Naglinis lang talaga ako ng house!
Then, around 6pm they arrived. The whole family! Ang kulit nga e. Rain & I have been praying that everything will turn out fine! We had some chitchat first before dinner. However, before pa sila dumating inayos na namin ang table! All I can say is masaya and naging comfortable naman ang family ni Rain sa house namin and with my family. Iyak dito, tawa doon! Instant laruan! hehehe =p
Next step is we need to go to our respective principal sponsor to formaly inform them. We're targeting by the end of August lahat napuntahan na namin. We still have to finalize the list. Kulang pa rin kami ng 2. Hay! =p We have 12 pairs. Ang dami noh?! And also for the same month, we'll meet up and discuss the package we'll get for Edsa Shangri-La, on what to remove and what to add. So we already have an idea what's the total cost of the package. Because by September we'll be paying the 50% of the total package. Grabe! =p And by september, we have to do all the papreworks such as baptismal & birth certificate(with marriage purpose only), marriage license! So that by November, everything is already in place. Relax, relax nalang kami ni Rain! =p

Excited!
My officemate introduce me to this korean movie, MY SASSY GIRL. I know this was already an old movie to you guys but I'm really fascinated with the story! I don't know why! He lend me his pirated DVD copy yesterday and was able to watch it before going to work. Though it's in korean language, meron naman subtitle kaya ok naman. At first sabi ko, ngek?! Ma-enjoy ko kaya un? E I hate pa naman subtitle hirap manood while reading diba?! But I got to enjoy it and it's a light comedy romance movie. My Sassy Girl, literally means "That Bizaare Girl". It is partially based on the true story told in a series of love letters written by a man who posted them online. I just noticed that the girl in the movie was also the girl in the korean movie, Il Mare. Which was remaked by an American film, The Lakehouse!
The film tells the story of a male college student (Cha Tae-Hyun) and a girl (Jun Ji-hyun) whose name is never given (in this movie). Our male protagonist, Gyeon-woo, does not seem to be able to catch a break. His romantic prospects are so pathetic that even his mother tries to get into the act, telling him to go visit his aunt so he can get hooked up with a girl. Gyeon-woo has more pride than that so he refuses. He goes to the train station for a ride home. There he sees the Girl, stone drunk and standing precariously close to the edge of the train platform. He pulls her to safety just in time.
Inside the train, Gyeon-woo cannot help but stare at the girl wavering back and forth, who he is slightly attracted to but repulsed by her drunkenness. Finally, she throws up on an old man, calls Gyeon-woo "honey" and faints. Gyeon-woo, confused, carries her all the way to the nearest motel. While he is showering, her phone rings and he runs out to answer it, still naked. He informs the caller of his location, and is soon received by a pair of police officers. A short struggle later, he is taken to jail.
He eventually gets out. That morning the Girl calls him out to a café, where he details the previous night. She seems irritated and drags Gyeon-woo off to a bar, where she gets hammered again, resulting in yet another trip to the same motel.
The Girl is a fierce character. After this second overnight stay at the motel, she seeks Gyeon-woo out in class. Faced with a feisty teacher, she succeeds in getting him out of class by claiming to be on the way to an abortion, with him being the father. Her plan a success, she takes Gyeon-woo to the theme park to enjoy themselves.
She is an aspiring scriptwriter, giving Gyeon-woo three different looks at genres. The first is an action movie - "The Demolition Terminator" - which switches gender roles, symbolically having the Girl save her helpless lover (Gyeon-woo). The second is a wild perversion of one of Gyeon-woo's beloved melodramas in which the Girl, having died, asks that her lover be buried along with her, even alive. The resulting situation is quite humorous. The last is a
wuxia/samurai movie spoof full of genre clichés and anachronisms. All three feature the same common thread: the Girl is from the future.
Despite all the horrible things Gyeon-woo endures, he is determined to stick with the Girl. He feels a pain inside her and wants to ease it. So no matter what happens, he bites his tongue and trudges on. Throughout the first half of the movie, she is resolute in her pain, dishing it out in plenty. But as the second half comes around, she begins to change; she shows vulnerability.
The second - and the more touching - half of the movie begins with the Girl waiting for Gyeon-woo after school. She takes him out to the park and suddenly complains about the pain her high heels are causing her. In the subsequent conversation, she convinces Gyeon-woo to switch shoes with her. Overjoyed, she tells him to chase her around the park and which he does until it starts raining. They walk to her house where Gyeon-woo meets her parents, after which he overhears a massive argument between the Girl and her mother over her relationship with him. Gyeon-woo does not hear from her for a long time.
For their 100th-day anniversary, she calls him and asks him to bring her a rose during class. He does this, leading to a touching and romantic scene where he follows the beautiful music of Pachelbel to where she is. But the night unfolds further and again he is faced with her parents, the Girl herself unconscious for the third time. Her father, infuriated, arranges a break-up.
By now, Gyeon-woo realizes how special the Girl is. He is unwilling to let her go. Upon being summoned to scout her date, he is disheartened to be labeled as a mere friend. Broken, he leaves the date with 10 rules one must follow to make the Girl happy. Unbeknownst to Gyeon-woo, the Girl hears these 10 rules and rushes to find him. They meet once again in the train station.
She asks him to write a letter and bring it with him. There, she unveils a time capsule where their letters will go inside and be buried next to a tree on a mountain for two years. In two years, they shall meet again to read the letters. Then they separate.
Gyeon-woo finds himself on the mountain in two years but does not find her there with him. Depressed, he opens the time capsule, finds a frog inside, and takes out her letter to read. The Girl had a boyfriend at first, who did everything she ever wanted and more. Like Gyeon-woo, he brought her a rose on their 100th day and like Gyeon-woo, met her on the train. She was happy and content, planning their lives together under the very tree and taking long walks in the sunset next to the lake. His sudden death left her heartbroken. In remembrance of the tragic event, she and his mother make a trip each year to the lake where he drowned. She also says that her ex-boyfriend's mother has been trying to introduce someone to her so that she will move on.
A year passes without her feeling any better, tortured by her lost love. Meeting Gyeon-woo only makes her feel worse because all the things she does to him causes her to fall more and more for him. And she cannot let go of the memories in her heart. She finally concludes that if they are really meant to be together, fate shall bring them back together.
One year after Gyeon-woo visited the tree, the Girl finally comes. Sitting under the tree is an old man. Throughout the conversation, the old man is very interested in finding out why the Girl was one year late. It is implied in the movie that old man is the Gyeon-woo from the future. Some speculation on why the future Gyeon-woo wants to find out why the Girl was one year late: (1) The Girl and Gyeon-woo got married in the end, but the Girl still refuses to tell him why she was one year late. (2) The Girl broke up with Gyeon-woo again and he never found out why she was one year late. Throughout the movie, the relationship between Gyeon-woo and the Girl is an on-off bittersweet affair.
After the old man tells the Girl the touching story of the tree getting replaced by Gyeon-woo (his younger self), the old man disappears and the Girl looks at the sky to see a tiny UFO flying across the sky and then vanishing. The Girl had mentioned a few times that she wished to meet someone from the future. Her wish is granted by the old Gyeon-Woo from the future.
After her encounter with the UFO, she proceeds to the place where her ex-boyfriend died from drowning. In a deleted scene from the director's cut, she throws the necklace into the sea. This symbolizes that she finally has closure.
In the final scene, Gyeon-woo and the Girl come full circle when they find out that the one person they have been declining to meet over the years is the one person they have always wanted to see again, the one person that they had always been with before the break-up. The Girl's ex-boyfriend's mother is actually Gyeon-Woo's aunt who since the beginning of the film, has wanted to introduce him to "a girl." (source: Wikipedia)
Grabe, I didn't even noticed that I was crying na! =p Mababaw talaga ang luha ko! Napansin ko lang lahat ng Korean movies is about love. Fighting about love! That is the reason din siguro why Filipinos love these movies or chinovelas mainly because deep inside of us, we're hopeless romantics! Hay! =p Sa ka-addict ko, I even search for Pachelbel's Canon in D piano piece. Now, I have to try it on piano... Sana ma-perfect ko! =p Others don't know, I'm playing piano since I 11years old. O diba? extra income! But I'm not doing it anymore, wala na kase time! =(
**********
Well, later I will have my first fitting with Veluz. Haha! =p Kaka-excite! We're supposed to meet by 10am. But since she's from Las Pinas, natraffic daw siya so 11am nalang! ok lang naman since her place is just 10mins away from our house! Na-eexcite ako na hindi ko alam. Parang 1st fitting palang ganito na ako what more pa kung sa final fitting and lalo na sa DAY itself! hehehe!
Rain & I were also discussing the details of the pamamanhikan on Sunday! We don't know, but both of us we're pretty nervous and excited! =p Hindi nga namin alam kung baket! Nyahaha! We're also trying to finished our principal sponsors. Grabe up to now hindi pa rin complete! Our initial plan was only 10pairs. But now, it's already 12 pairs! My mom was keep on adding her colleagues! Waaaaaaaah! Hay! So, we decided na ung iba partners nalang nung wife or hubby or vise versa. Ayaw naman namin siyempre magtampo sila if we'll reject their suggestion. Mabuti nalang at medyo hands on sila. But they're very cautious naman sa mga action nila na alam nila na kasal pa din namin yun hindi nila! =p Hay! I just hope everything will turn out fine this coming weekend! =p

Last Day
Another holiday for me today! No work! Hay ang sarap. Kaya I make it a point that I'll be spending it wisely. Minsan lang kaseng walang pasok sa office. Unless of course pag mag-file ako ng leave. Kinda busy ang day ko! But still I have time to check on my blog and writing this one. o diba? Addict! hehehe =p

First thing in the morning, I woke up around 9:30am. I don't know why! I only had 1 wheat bread for breakfast and orange juice. Then, I took a bath around 10am. And done around 11am. I left the house around 11:15am and have to pay all our utility bills. I'm the person responsible for it kase e. I don't want to do that tom, may pasok na ako! Hay! Then, I left Makati around 11:45am and by 12:30pm nasa QC na ako (Tandang Sora). Ang bilis noh?! Walang traffic! I anticipate na sobrang traffic since lunch time. And my appointment was 1pm pa. Well, that's ok. At least on time ako! The sad part is, medyo natagalan si Dr. sa patient nya. Nyay! It took me 1 hour to wait. Grabe! I'm done by 2:30pm. Medyo natagalan din sa akin 'coz she had to do the rewiring (basta un na un! I don't know the exact term e!). And on the way to Makati, ayun na ang traffic. Have to fetch Rain from his office at Ortigas. 3pm kase ang uwian nya e. His work starts at 6am - 3pm. Grabe pareho kaming gutom na gutom and we haven't took our lunch yet! We had our late lunch ng 3:30pm na. Sa glorietta pa kami ng lunch! I have to go to SM kase for other utility bills e. Para matapos na lahat! We just stroll around and ayun nagtingin-tingin lang. But I don't know na sale pala. Ngek! =p After Kamiseta, we decided to go home na. Baka may mabili pa ako! hahaha! And as usual, traffic sa Makati! =p It was a quality time, kahit na saglit lang kami magkasama! Then, tomorrow pasok na ule! Last day of vacation Katrina! =p

No Work Monday!
Last night Rain, I & my sister watched the most awaited movie of the year, Superman! The movie was soooooooo great! I'm not fanatic of superheroes but with Superman, man grabe! I've already watched all Superman from Part 1 to 4. Addict lang noh? hehehe! Not only that, Brandon Routh really gave justice in portraying the new Superman. Though he looks like Christopher Reeves (in the 80's) but for me, he's better & very good looking! As in! The whole time we're watching, my sister was keep on repeating how handsome he is! In all angles! =p Perfect!
We're supposed to watch the movie at IMax in Mall of Asia. But when we discovered that it cost 500Php per head! Whaaaat? For a movie? Duh?! Grabe naman sa mahal! Siguro naka-8 movies na kami ni Rain nun. And that's 1000 Php for both of us! Nah! Wag nalang! We're joking pa nga, if we'll be watching that that's our 1st and last na to watch a movie sa IMax! E we're cutting our expenses pa naman ngayon for the wedding! Lapit na! =p Less than 5 months. And by friday, it'll be my 1st fitting with Veluz. So excited! =p Though I know katcha lang yun, but I will have a glimpse of how long, what's the cut of my gown! Nananaginip na nga ako lately e. Halos every night! Nagiging paranoid lang siguro ako! And by Sunday, Rain & his family will have the Pamamanhikan na! So, nervous na din! I don't know why. This would be the first time my mom & my future MIL (mother-in-law) will meet. Sayang lang 'coz both of us don't have our father to witness this special occasion. Escpecially our wedding day! But I'm sure they're there for us in spirit! (nyay.. kakatakot!) hehehe!
**********
Just this afternoon, since both Rain & I don't have work. Rain - because of Pasig day while mine is because of the US independence day, we decided to have a visit with one of our prospect suppliers for our invites, Craftmaster. Grabe ang traffic! I don't know what's with the day! We even called the office just to make sure we're not lost. Anyways, when we got there, Henry Tan (the owner) was very accomodating. He showed us their samples. Though their samples are limited, their prices were affordable enough compared with the other suppliers we considered. We got it less than 100 Php. Ok na din! We were surprised kase the invite we want e medyo formal and classic. E we're expecting na siguro 100++ siya! But surprisingly, it's less than pa! Rain was very eager to get him na for our invites. Sad to say, I don't have the sample nga lang. But Henry promised me he'll just email me the pegs.
We even discuss that we want sana to get the invites by early November since we'll be sending some of it abroad. Good enough for us to have time to give out or distribute na din! The disadvantage lang is baka if 1 month to go pa ang wedding, baka makalimutan nga lang.=p We didn't stayed that long, natakot kami sa traffic na naman pauwi, kahit na Malate lang siya and I'm from Makati. Parang lumayo dahil sa traffic! We paid 50% for the downpayment. Napaka-fickle-minded! hehe =p At least minor nalang ang kailangan namin. Time really flies soooo fast! You'll never know, hala baka bukas December 16 na! Goodluck! =p

Bored...bored... & bored!
When I was on break at work (Saturday!) Yes! I have OT work this saturday! So, kakatamad! =p But that's ok. Walang boss !=p We have a long weekend because we don't have work this coming monday & tuesday (july 3 & 4). It's US independence day kase!
While I'm on break. As usual, bloghoppin' =p I'd tried answering this! And what a coincidence! I'm watching that movie (Romeo & Juliet) @ Star Movies kaninang patulog na ako!
