Manic Monday Night!
It's Monday and Holiday ~ Memorial Day in US. The sad part is, we have work! Though we don't have calling, we had our general assembly at our new company - WinSource Solutions! Lahat yata ng callcenter walang pasok... kami lang meron. We had free lunch and of course walang kamatayang kwentuhan. We're being paid for nothing! hehehe :p

(obvious na walang magawa noh?)

Want to share the email I got today. Really funny! =P

Don't Eat Chicken Sandwiches -- No Matter What!

A little boy & a little girl attended the same school & became friends.

Every day, they would sit together to eat their lunch. They discovered that they brought chicken sandwiches every day!

This went on all through the fourth and fifth grades, until one day he noticed that her sandwich wasn't a chicken sandwich.

He said, "Hey, how come you're not eating chicken, don't you want it anymore?" She said, "I love it but I have to stop eating it".

"Why?" he asked.

She pointed to her lap & said "Cause I'm starting to grow little feathers down there!"

"Let me see" he said.

"Okay" and she pulled up her skirt. He looked and said, "That's right. You are!

Better not eat any more chicken." He kept eating his chicken sandwiches until one day he brough peanut butter.

He said to the little girl, "I have to stop eating chicken sandwiches, I'm starting to get feathers down there too!"

She asked if she could look, so he pulled down his pants for her.

She said, "Oh MY GOD, it's too late for you! You've already got the neck and the gizzards!!" =)

Bowling!
Last night, we went to Rockwell, Powerplant just to unwind. We had bowling for 2 hours. Well, talo silang dalawa (Rain & Mama) sa akin.hehehe =P Addict ako sa bowling before. My former officemates (Pol, Rom & Mhon) were my bowling buddies. Sobrang addict to the point na almost everyday, nagbo-bowling kami. Kaka-miss pala! This was Mama's first time to bowl. We had fun! Dapat pustahan kaya lang we decided not to... malulugi si Mama! However, siya pa din nagbayad hahaha! =)

(ok sa porma si Mama & Rain noh? =p)

Stressed!
Your Stress Level is: 26%

You are slightly prone to stress, but generally you keep it under control.
You know how to relax and take things as they come, even when your worlds seems to be falling apart.
Occasionally, you do let yourself get stressed out, but you snap out of it pretty quickly.
How Stressed Are You?

--> Prone to stress ~ Hmm... that I agree! I'm working graveyard shift! :(

--> Know how to relax ~ Every weekend lang! Usually, sleep lang!

--> Let myself stressed out ~ Medyo nga! Nagiging OC bride na nga yata ako. Lalo na sa wedding preps. However, enjoying every details of it!

With all the wedding preps & work?! Whew... 6 months to go! Bridezilla syndrome? Wag naman! hehehe! =p

Our wedding bands!
I've been busy for the past days choosing on our wedding bands. I'm having a hard time. Everytime I ask Rain about it, he's just saying, "Kung ano ang gusto mo ok lang! at kung ano sa tingin mo ang maganda!". That's his answer everytime I ask him to choose from the designs I sent with Matus and designs sent by Goldenhills to us. Minsan, naisip ko bakit gano lagi ang sagot nya? it seems he's not giving importance to this. Siyempre, this would be the band that we'll wear for the rest of our lives. But I truly understand naman, 'coz I know he wants me to decide for us. Baka kase kung ano ang piliin nya, di ko naman gusto. So, he's just playing safe! hehehe! =p Ang sweet diba? Basta kung ano ang gusto ko, gusto na rin nya!
And after a series of number of emails from Matus, finally, we already decided the design we want for our rings. As usual, Rain wants his rings w/out stones (more of a technical kase siya e). Belle of Matus we're really kind enough to customized the designs for our bands. She even suggested to just take advantage of the discount they'll have during fair. E hindi ko naman alam kung kelan meron fair. Ang alam ko sa June pa un. E before we discuss the prices, she mentioned to me na nagtaas na daw sila since tumaas na din daw ang price ng gold. Whaaat??? Ano ba yan? Hindi lang ako makapag-reply the past few weeks bec. we really haven't decided yet. Kaya ganon. Buti nalang at sinabi nya na meron sa Le Pavillion this Saturday, pede namin siya i-meet dun.
Here's the designs she customized for us:
A.
2 rows of diamonds (half-eternity)
5mm 14K white gold
a.1 Groom's ring is plain (no groove)
Bride's ring with 34 round diamonds at 0.01 carat
a.2 Groom's ring with 42 round diamonds at 0.01 carat
Bride's ring with 34 round diamonds at 0.01 carat
B.
Single Row of Diamonds (half Eternity)
5mm, 14k white gold
b.1. Groom's ring is plain (no groove)
Bride's ring with 15 round diamonds at 0.02 carat
b.2 Groom's ring with 19 round diamonds at 0.02 carat
Bride's ring with 15 round diamonds at 0.02 carat
She's gave us also 15% discount (5% w@wie & 10% during the bridal fair). So, we went this morning after my friday shift to discuss more on our rings. We went there around 9am. E start ng fair 10am. Good thing at pede na rin pumasok. We're the 1st guest yata ang nandun hehehe! =p
When we're already in their booth, Belle was the 1st one who greeted us. Warm-welcome agad. Parang bahay! =P And again, for the Nth time, nag-customized na naman kami. She handed me their sample of the same design we want for our rings. Ayun! Compute na naman siya! para kaseng hindi ako kuntento kung ung ring ni Rain is plain simple band, tapos ung sa akin may stones. Kaya I requested ule for a computation if we'll just have the same half eternity! Parang konte lang ang difference nung price if he'll still stick with the plain simple band. Worry lang kase ni Rain is baka matanggalan ng bato. Papangit na daw. I even agree with him. But Mye (owner) assured us that since the stone is not that huge, its impossible to fall off and meron daw parang kinakapitan pa din ung diamonds dun sa ring. Kaya un, medyo na-convice na si Rain!haha =)

Rain's: 5.5mm 14K half eternity / Kaye's: 5mm 14K half eternity

We scheduled our fitting on August 2006. We want to have our rings done by September! Atat?hehehe! =P

Invites
Rain & I are having a hard time looking for a perfect supplier for our invites. We didn't expect that invites were so expensive. Considering parang itatapon lang din naman un ng mga bisita mo. =( Everytime we'll check invite suppliers, parang nade-depressed kami lagi 'coz our allocated budget for it was just only half of it. Our initial bidget was more or less 6,000 to 7,000 Php. We tried checking QP designs & The Write Impression. I really love their designs. Their invites were very nice and elegant. We want kase ung parang madaming inserts. Though siyempre we want to incorporate to our theme & motif which is blue & silver. Now, we decided to increase nalang siguro our budget for this one. Kahit na medyo depressing. Sabi nga ni Rain, wala ng mura ngayon. We just have to accept the fact na lahat nagmamahal na!=(
We'll still look for other suppliers that would fit in to our budget. Lai of Impromptu (our coordinator) suggested to try Unifair and Amis. Medyo cheaper daw ang prices nila compared to QP & the rest. Though I haven't got the chance to inquire about their services yet! I'll try this weekend siguro!
If I were very artistic, ako nalang siguro gagawa hehehe! :(

These are just the sample invites we want! sana lang makahanap kami ng ok na supplier :(

Da Vinci ~ Hairstyles
Last Sunday, Rain, I and my mom, watch Dan Brown's mind-buggling and controversial movie, The Da Vinci Code @ Glorietta 4. We decided to see the last full show 'coz late na me nagising from my Saturday shift. Kaya puyat-puyat ako! =p It's not that late, around 10pm. Both Rain & I haven't read the book. Kaya medyo vague ang alam namin about the movie! We're just depending on the news and of course the internet! Atat na atat na ako talaga mapanood since the 1st screening, haven't got the time nga lang because of work. Kaya nung plano namin na saturday nalang, ang dami naman tao at may work naman ako that night. Grrr... kainis talaga! Kaya nung sunday di na namin pinalampas! hahaha =)
The movie was very entertaining. As other may say, if you don't have a stong faith, you'll have second thoughts about Christ! Some say Da Vinci Code: Fact or Fiction? I really don't care. The fact is, I really enjoyed the movie that's it! =p
Summary:
Famed symbologist Professor Robert Langdon is called to the Louvre museum one night where a curator has been murdered, leaving behind a mysterious trail of symbols and clues. With his own survival at stake, Langdon, aided by the police cryptologist Sophie Neveu, unveils a series of stunning secrets hidden in the works of Leonardo Da Vinci, all leading to a covert society dedicated to guarding an ancient secret that has remained hidden for 2000 years. The pair set off on a thrilling quest through Paris, London and Scotland, collecting clues as they desperately attempt to crack the code and reveal secrets that will shake the very foundations of mankind.
Critic's Review:
Dan Brown's incendiary potboiler (perhaps you've heard of it?) gets the bloated, big-screen treatment with Tom Hanks (sporting that unfortunate 'do) as a professor of symbology. When a curator at the Louvre is found murdered, having scrawled cryptic clues before croaking, Hanks is hauled in to help with the investigation but then finds himself the prime suspect. He goes on the run, aided by detective Audrey Tautou, and they stumble upon a larger mystery involving secret societies, Christianity's cover-ups and the location of the Holy Grail. But the real mystery is why the movie isn't more exciting. Yes, this faithful--albeit overly long--adaptation keeps the action moving, but it's also laden with leaden dialogue scenes, muddled flashbacks and surprisingly uncharismatic turns from Hanks and Tautou. Fortunately, Paul Bettany proves scary cool as an albino assassin-monk, and scholarly Ian McKellen lends welcome levity even as he explains it all for you. Simply decoded, Da Vinci ain't da bomb--but it ain't a bomb, either.

After watching the movie, we went home agad. Because my mom needs to rest and need to come to work on monday! Napuyat tuloy namin hehehe =P Rain & I just enjoyed each other's company watching TV. Ako lang pala, watching tv & Rain, surfing the net. When its was my turn, I've searched for hairstyles that I want for my hair on the wedding day. I have a very long hair. Medyo curious ako what will Jasmine do to my hair. I texted her about it if she has sample up-do bridal hair she could send me so i'll have an idea. Nakakatuwa 'coz we haven't done our trial make-up yet! Ang tagal ko mag-isip kung kelan. I want sana sa pre-nup nalang para di din masayang ang make-up. She just told me to send some of the hairstyles I want, so she'll check if doable or not!
Here are some of the up-do hairstyles I want:

Busy Bee Me!
Saturday, after my friday work shift, Rain & I went to my ortho after work to make adjustments on my braces. For the past 3 months hindi ako makapunta, nagsabay-sabay kase ang injuries ko nun. So, the sad thing is medyo pumasok ng konte ung ngipin ko sa baba! But the good thing is wala na akong spaces. Dikit na lahat! O diba? Imagine 4 na ngipin ang tinanggal saken. Protruding kase & over-bite! And almost 6 years na yata akong naka-braces since college pa. This was my 2nd ortho. The 1st one had to go to US kaya hindi na nya ako maaasikaso. So, I have to look for another one. At first, I thought it was not a good idea because additional expense na naman yun. Back in college, my mom was the one paying for my ortho, but now since I'm earning na...hahaha siyempre ako na diba?! Then, come my engagement, medyo nagworry na ako and said to myself that I have to work on my teeth. Kaya I look for another ortho na kayang matapos ngipin ko in less than 2 years. So my officemate referred me to her ortho and the sad part is I have to start all over again. She can't continue my exsiting braces 'coz she uses a different technique, kaya din siguro mabagal ang pag-move ng ngipin ko with my first ortho.
So far, its more than 1 year na and I already saw the improvement. She promise me to take off the braces this August. Pine-pressure ko siya for our prenups. hehehe =p Ayoko kaseng magpa-prenup ng may braces lalong lalo na sa wedding day ko mismo. For me, that wouldn't look nice on pictures, may bakal sa ngipin... might affect the flash on pictures!
************************
Then, we went to Glorrieta after my dentist appointment to watch Da Vinci Code. However, sobrang dami na ng tao and haba ng pila. So we decided not to watch the movie anymore,(Sunday nalang...) considering I have to come to work again for a saturday shift (as usual OT na naman!). Instead, we just buy some materials for missalette & Save The Date. Rain is in-charge kase dun e. hehehe! We also bought some magnet sheets & envelopes for our STD. We planned to print it out through Kodak w/ 4x6 size and just paste it with a magnet sheets at the back. We'll just distribute this to our entourage and our relatives.
When we're at The Landmark, I saw a unity candle with our color motif & ribbons as well. When I check out the price. Wow! Sobrang mura na siya 'coz when the last time we check a wedding shop at Megamall, unity candles costs a lot! I didn't expect na ganun pala kamahal ang mga candles. So, when I saw the price, sabi ko "Bilhin na naten Lab!". He just said, "Kaw bahala? Ok ba yan? mura na ba?!" I just said, "Yup!" Kahit na malayo pa, binili na namin, baka kase wala na kaming makitang ganon! hehehe! I'll still think if I'm going to add designs on it. It's more than half the price from the one we saw in Megamall. O diba? Tipid na naman si Katrina! =P

Our Honeymoon!
Last friday, I've already talked to our travel agent and already book the Alona Tropical Beach Resort in Bohol! Sa wakas at sa kahaba-haba at tagal namin sa pagpili ng honeymoon namin, at last nakapagdecide na din kami! Hahaha! Kahit na we didn't pushed thru ung Alona Palm Beach which is one of our 1st choice, we still get to see the resort because it's just beside Alona Tropical. Try nalang siguro namin dun kumain para we get to experience the view hehehe! They just booked the package were getting from PALakbayan of Philippine Airlines for 4 days & 3 nights. Our schedule would be from December 18-21. We decided to book na 'coz PALakbayan package it's cheaper than the other bohol package there is. It's only limited. First come first serve basis pa. And ung date pa naman namin peak-season din, considering December un ha? Sino naman kaya ang mag-swim ng malamig?hahaha! They gave us a deadline of payment up to June 24, and a week to give our tickets. Kaka-excite! =p Yey!

Alona Beach is located in the south of Panglao Island. Panglao itself is southwest of Bohol. Alona Beach is famous holiday destination in the Philippines, particularly for divers who are lured by the spectacular dive sites.

Prenuptial Agreement
I read an article from inq7.net last week. I forgot the website kaya ngayon ko lang na-post. Want to share it lang!

PRE-NUPTIAL AGREEMENTS: When love means having to say 'This is mine'

WHAT would you give to make sure that the two most common causes of trouble in marriages—money and properties—don't get invited into your bedroom? Changes in the Family Code in 1988 have caused more and more couples to consider drawing up a prenuptial agreement before
the wedding day—but the subject itself has also been known to break up engagements!

The truth is, nothing can douse water on romance as effectively as the word "prenup" as most tie it up with some nasty feelings like selfishness, breaking up, and lack of trust. But family wealth planners believe that it can save you from a lot of heartache and yes, money too.
"Couples have to understand the value of having a clear agreement on the most tricky issues facing marriage like money and properties, so that they can go on in planning the rest of their lives," says Eleanor M. Montenegro, a director at Sycip, Gorres & Velayo. SGV believes prenuptial agreements can be a very useful tool in family wealth planning, one of its areas of expertise.

But mind you, it's not just for the wealthy. Whether you are newlyweds Willie Revillame and former beauty queen Liz Almoro or Rep. Miguel Zubiri, who will soon tie the knot with TV veejay Audrey Tan, you might want to consider the following facts before walking down the aisle.

In 1988, changes in the Family Code stated that married couples are to be bound by "absolute community" in terms of money and property. That bit of jargon means your partner will have an equal right to everything you owned before the marriage.

Here's the more interesting part. The Family Code also says that in cases of disagreements, the husband's decision is law.

This is very different from the pre-1988 version of the Code that requires couples to be ruled by the concept of "conjugal property," where partners bring into the marriage only the fruits of their labor, and not their actual properties. Lovebirds may be too busy to notice and say absolute community--whatever it is--is fine. But if you are in any of the following situations, SGV's family wealth planning group says you better sit up and hold your horses:

* if you have assets that your grandfather or another ancestor has transferred to you as part of a family wealth planning exercise, and would want to keep within the family
* if you have children (or grandchildren for that matter) from a previous marriage that you want provided for by certain assets
* if you have a business that you want to keep within your family
* if you have assets such as a home, stock or retirement funds you have worked for all your working life
* You may be receiving an inheritance
* You have loved ones who need to be taken care of, such as elderly parents
There are other unique situations that may warrant a prenuptial agreement but in the Philippine setting, these are the particular cases that spell what could be extremely tricky issues between husband and wife. Because of close family ties, a prenuptial agreement can save couples from long, lonely nights in the future, or a messy and costly breakup. Or it can save you from using properties you have saved for your ailing father to pay for your spouse's debts contracted long before you met! "If you can't agree on something that is very important to you before the marriage, then perhaps there is something wrong. A prenuptial agreement is nothing more than a simple contract that clarifies these things," says Montenegro.

Just like any contract, it needs to be signed by both parties. You cannot surprise your partner with a prenuptial agreement when you think things are getting a bit out of hand. It is also important that the date is way before the wedding to ensure that both parties had ample time to agree or disagree. Third, it must be accurate. Any indication that the list of assets is anything but honest might nullify the agreement. So don't even think of hiding that property in Tagaytay.
So, how do you approach this touchy subject? Bankrate.com has some nifty suggestions. First, do it as early as possible. If you have been open to each other in the course of the relationship, the word prenup itself does not have to cause someone's hackles to rise. Being very candid definitely has its merits.
After all, marriage is all about love, not money, isn't it?

Happy 37th Monthsary!
It's our 37th Monthsary yesterday! We just celebrate it over breakfast. As usual to our ever-favorite Pancake House @ Rockwell, Makati. It's also exactly 7 months to go before the BIG Day! Grabe, time was really, really fast! Madami dami pa rin akong kulang! I jot down some of the things I needed to priorize. Hindi ko lang alam bat parang di namin ma-desisyunan agad!
Here are some of the things we need to focus on:
1. Honeymoon - though matagal pa naman. We're torn between Palawan or Bohol. But Rain prefers Bohol nalang! I inquire about the PALakbayan last month and contacted a travel agency. So far, ok naman ang mga quotations nila sa amin. We decided to go with 4days / 3nights. However, di pa din sure yung exact date, whether to go with Dec 18-21 or Jan 3-6, 2007.
For Bohol Package:
Inclusions:
Roundtrip airfare via PAL
Airport transfer
4days / 3nights
Daily breakfast
Bohol Tour
Taxes
Alona Palm Beach - Grabe! Ang mahal! As in sobra! For me, it's really expensive! But Rain said, if I really like this one, it's ok! Pero I decided not to! Kase sobrang mahal talaga! It's like more than $1,000 . Grabe! Kahit na parang gusto ko talaga. I just decided wag nalang! Next time nalang siguro if we have all the money to spend and time as well. hahaha! Nagkuripot! =p Since, it's only for a 4days/ 3nights, expensive pa rin para saken.
Panglao Island - Quite reasonable na! One of our top choices as well.
Alona Tropical - I think this was the cheapest among the Alona Beach! The price was good enough. Tamang-tama lang sa budget namin including our pocket money as well. O diba?! I think this is the ONE!
For Palawan Package:
Inclusions:
Roundtrip airfare
Airport transfers
4days / 3nights
Daily breakfast
City Tour, Underground tour, Honda Bay Tour
Taxes
Asturias Hotel - Cheapest among Puerto Princesa PALakbayan Package. Reasonable enough! Less expensive. And less than pa sa budget namin, kasama ang pocket money na din! Galing!
Hotel Fleuris - Much Better. Mukhang maganda ang amenities nila! We're also considering this one if we'll go with Palawan!
2. Entourage Designer - Grabe! Hirapan ako mamili talaga! 7 months to go and wala pa rin akong designer. I've searched more than 4 na yata. And still ang tagal ko mag-decide! Dami ko kase niko-consider. Siyempre magaling yet affordable! Kahit na my whole wntourage will be paying for their gowns, siyempre ayoko naman din na mahirapan sila at di nila magustuhan ang mga designers na makukuha ko. Sa akin pa ang blame in the end diba?!
Tet Hagape - I've been emailing her ever since. And prompt naman ang mga response nya sa inquiries ko. However, when I already sent her the samples gowns I want for the whole entourage, nawalan siya yata ng reply. Hindi na siya sumagot sa mga emails ko. Hindi ko alam if she already dumped me or what! But siyempre, I won't give up. I'll try her once again, pag hindi na siya nagreply siguro, that's the time I should loom for another designer.
Leonine Bautista - Got this one from fellow w@wie Faye. Although she didn't actually recommend her because of her work. But still she's kind enough to give me her contact numbers. Come when I called her up. Hindi ko alam kung wrong number ako or what. Pero very rude ang mga sumasagot. The hell! E nasa bad mood din ako that time. Kaya erase from the list! =)
Cecil Abad - He's the first designer I met when I'm searching for my gown designer. With my college bestfriend Katukayo's (Trina ni Ken - also a w@wie) recommendation, I had the chance to met him. Lapit pa sa house namin. You can even take a 1 ride jeep. Tatawid lang ng South Super Highway. I had fun also with him (gay kase!). With his good reputation at w@w, convinced ako na magaling nga siya. I even saw some of his work sa shop, which is really pretty good. And I even saw Trina's gown as well as the whole entourage nung wedding nya. Simple but elegant! Want him also because accessible kase siya sa lahat ng entourage ko. Since it's located in Manila, middle of North & South! hehehe! I keep on texting him a month ago pa, walang reply. I just don't know kung he also dumped me na rin or what!
Zandra Lim - This was my officemate's designer, who's also a w@wie (Janice & Randy). I haven't met her yet. But I'm getting a lot of good feedbacks as well from fellow w@wies. Her Entourage gown starts from 2,000 to 2,500. Not quite bad diba? I'm still going to meet her this Sat with Janice for her final fitting!
3. Wedding Bands - I'm having a hard time in choosing the designs for our bands. Actually, ako lang talaga ang undecided. Because everytime na nagpapakita ako ng designs kay Rain, pili agad siya! Ako naman ang sobrang undecided talaga! Dapat matagal na tapos na if not because of my fickle mind! hehehe! Masyado lang siguro ako choosy! We've contacted 2 suppliers who can help us with the designs we want.
Goldenhills - They have a variety of nice looking and affordable bands. When we went to their shop at Greenhills, Ellen was very helpful with the designs we want. They gave us prompt answers to our queries and sends us the designs through email. Ang bilis ng reply! And price... it's affordable!
Matus - They also have a wide variety of designs. With all the good feedbacks from their customers, mukhang ok naman sila. Haven't decided yet kase medyo mahal ang quote nila sa amin dun sa design na gusto namin! Goodluck!
So far, yan palang muna focus ko this coming month. I'm keeping myself busy with unimportant things e kaya yan natambak tuloy! hehehe! :D

Work! Work! Work!
It's Monday again, Work! =P I received an email from a friend. just want to share it with you guys... Lalong-lalo na sa mga workaholic person like me! =)

-------------------------------------

A long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he likes, then the Emperor would give him the area of land he has covered.

Sure enough, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could. He kept on riding and riding, whipping the horse to go as fast as possible. When he was hungry or tired, he did not stop because he wanted to cover as much area as possible.

Came to a point when he had covered a substantial area and he was exhausted and was dying. Then he asked himself, “Why did I push myself so hard to cover so much land area? Now I am dying and I only need a very small area to bury myself."

The above story is similar with the journey of our Life. We push very hard everyday to make more money, to gain power and recognition. We neglect our health, time with our family and to appreciate the surrounding beauty and the hobbies we love.

One day when we look back, we will realize that we don't really need that much, but then we cannot turn back time for what we have missed.

Life is not about making money, acquiring power or recognition. Life is definitely not about work! Work is only necessary to keep us living so as to enjoy the beauty and pleasures of life. Life is a balance of Work and Play, Family and Personal time. You have to decide how you want to balance your Life. Define your priorities, realize what you are able to compromise but always let some of your decisions be based on your instincts. Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of Life, the whole aim of human existence.
So, take it easy, do what you want to do and appreciate nature. Life is fragile, Life is short. Do not take Life for granted. Live a balanced lifestyle and enjoy Life!

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there! =P I love you Mama!

"Happy Mother's Day" means more
Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
We never get to say.

It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I honor you.

But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of
Your happiness on this, your day,
With pleasure and with love.

At Last!
At last, We've already watched Mission: Impossible III. Yesterday, after my friday shift Rain & I went to Glorietta 4. Rain had been eyeing on this since last week. We haven't got the chance to watch it the 1st week ng opening nung movie, because of the different work schedule! We're planning to watch two movies (hindi naman kami atat manood noh?!) dapat kaya lang mukhang hindi ko na kakayanin dahil galing pa ako sa work that day! Baka makatulog lang ako hehe =)
We had so much fun watching the movie! I didn't expect na mawawala ang antok ko. There's no dull moment. Breath-taking stunts. It was definitally intense, with that extremely emotional flash-forward in the beginning. It was the best one yet. I would highly recommend it. Everyone was great; and the plot twists were very well concealed. Kakabitin nga lang!
What's a rabbit's foot? hmmmm =p Mission:Impossible IV for sure! hehehe! =)
Summary:
Super-spy Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) has retired from active duty to train new IMF agents. But he is called back into action to confront the toughest villain he's ever faced - Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman), an international weapons and information provider with no remorse and no conscience. Hunt assembles his team - his old friend Luther Strickell (Ving Rhames), transportation expert Declan (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), background operative Zhen (Maggie Q), and fresh recruit Lindsey (Keri Russell) - to travel the globe pursuing Davian and rescue Hunt's love, Julia (Michelle Monaghan).
Critics Review:
This sequel is, like its star and his two previous Missions, ridiculous. There are helicopter chases through wind farms, tiny bombs injected into eyeballs, briefcases stolen from bad guys during swank European parties, aerial assaults on freeway traffic, double-crossing secret agents, bad guys with hidden lairs, a multiethnic team of superspies, infallible gadgets for any task and a mask of Philip Seymour Hoffman's face made, for whatever reason, in the catacombs of the Vatican. But the movie's unbound ridiculousness, like Cruise's, creates its own logic and momentum: It doesn't matter why our hero is scribbling trigonometry equations in grease pencil on a Shanghai slum window. Soon enough, he's parachuting off a skyscraper and chasing a bioweapon canister through traffic and on and on. It's all so vaguely exciting that you forget, for split second after split second, that nothing adds up. (Wait, what is this weapon everybody's scrambling over? Who is Hoffman's huffing villain, anyway, and why is he such a prick?) Director JJ Abrams pulls a fast one around every turn, with one slick diversion after another, and the entire movie becomes a giant, empty MacGuffin. Now, this being summer and Tom Cruise being the star and these being the times, why would we expect anything more?

Another Quiapo Adventure
Yesterday we went to Quiapo again to buy materials that we need for our souvenirs. Nagkulang kase e. Hindi ko na-anticipate na magkukulang! As usual, commute lang kami! Hirap if we'll bring car pa. Hanap pa parking at hassle na masyado! Kakatakot sa mga jeep at hirap sa parking! =P Anyways, kahit na malapit lang ang Quiapo from our place, Vito Cruz, isang 2 ride lang siya, Jeep & LRT! And the sad part is walang LRT yesterday! Grrrrrrrr! =( Kainis talaga! E hindi pa naman namin alam papunta ng Quiapo pag hindi LRT! Ang alam lang namin, from Vito Cruz station of LRT, baba lang kami sa Carriedo Station and from that walking distance lang ang Wellmansons! Kainis talaga! So, we just take a jeep that says Quiapo! Bhala na lang! Magtanong tanong nalang kami dun sabi ni Rain! hahaha! Kaya bago kami sumakay, we ask the driver first kung dadaan ba ng Quiapo Church? Buti nalang at dadaan! Pagsakay namin lapit agad si Rain sa may driver at sinabing "Manong, paki baba nalang kami sa Quiapo Church!". Grabe, para kaming bago sa Manila! Nyahaha!
When we got to Wellmansons. Na-iinspire talaga ako sa mga accessories! Pinipigilan na nga ako ni Rain, dahil dumadami na ang mga nadadagdag sa mga dapat na bilhin namin!
I bought another materials for my another rosary project. Parang hindi ako makuntento! Need your comments also! Good thing at nang pauwi na kami, meron ng LRT! Yey! At least hindi na mainit at mausok... mabilis pa!
Here's another sample:

So far, here's what we've done already with 60 pcs of rosaries. O diba? Ang galing! Siyempre nitulungan na din ako ni Labidoodle! We still have a lot to do! Goodluck!

Back-up Photo ~ Get or Not?
I'm curious with this concept! I still don't know if this is practical or not? Purpose? The word itself! Back-up of course! Even if you already have a main photographer, some still want to have more photos. Last Tuesday, I'm having this discussion with Rain whether we should get a back-up photographer or not! He just said, don't you trust Mimi? What's it's purpose? Hala! Wala akong masabi. I just said, "Additional photographer, more photos!". And he added, another expense diba? Well, sabi ko lang mura naman e 5,000Php! He just said wag na! Hay! I'm eyeing sana Gel Motilla's Back-up photography. Although, I trust naman Mimi for her craft, I just want those candid shots. Parang I want to do some project after the wedding dun sa mga shots na makukuha namin from the back-up photography. And Gel's package includes also free prenup na din. O diba? I even emailed Gel na for his backup photo package, and had quick replies as well. And the good thing is open pa ang date namin sa kanya and kahit na back-up lang, siya pa rin talaga ang magko-cover. But sad thing, Rain really doesn't want! Just in case, meron na kami kay Mimi, meron pa ule diba? He really doesn't want it! Sabi nya we already invest more on photography, what's the use of getting another one? Added expense and very impractical daw! So, kahit na parang gusto ko talaga, he really insist na wag na! Hay! =( Sayang talaga! Gusto ko nga sana sabihin ako na lang ang bayad hehehe! Kaya lang mukhang nagalit na e! Ayaw ko nalang kami mag-away! Hay! At isa pang Hay!

What a Sunday!
I had to come to work last Saturday! It's an Overtime! We're required to come since it's per our client's request. Grrrrrrrr... Kainis talaga! 'Coz Rain & I plan to watch MI:3. So, naudlot na naman. He's eyeing on this kase for a week. Nung wednesday palang 1st showing day gusto nang manood. With our different schedule, we wasn't able to find time! =( Hopefully, this coming week! (fingers-crossed!)
After my Saturday shift, Rain & I went to their house and had our breakfast. Nothing special, we just played with his nephew, Duncan! Kakagulat 'coz the last time I saw him, kinda small pa siya. He's turning 10 months this May 25th. Kakatuwa!
Then, I went home around 8am. As usual, computer pa rin. Check on my blog and emails. Then, went to sleep around 10 am of Sunday. And guess what time ako nagising... 3 am na ng Monday! Whoooa! Ayaw ko naman matulog noh? hahaha :D With all the puyat for the week. Bumawi lang ako ng sleep! Hay! And again, work later! =D

Wedding Bands Part 2
After a long exchange of emails from Matus. Finally, they're able to send us their quotations on the designs of the wedding bands we want. Rain and I agreed to have 4mm and of course white gold. Haven't decided yet from what supplier should we get, whether Goldenhills or Matus.
However, both of them are very prompt in answering my emails and inquiries. And as for the prices, Goldenhills are more affordable than Matus! hehehe =p
Here are the designs we sent to Matus as well as the details. i didn't include their quotes per band... If curious, just PM me! =)

DIY Souvenirs Part 2
After 3 days for doing my D-I-Y souvenirs, parang di pa rin ako contented with them. I also bought some crystal different from the 1st one. Round kase ung crystal na nabili ko. However, I bought also the diamond shape cystal which I like most because of the color. Un kase ang pinakamalapit na color sa motif namin! The difference is it's smaller than the round one!
Since I'm not contented with the 1st one, I made another sample using the diamond shape crystal. Kaya nung natapos ko ung 2nd sample, hala na lalo akong naguluhan. I even ask my sister, my mom and Rain's mom which one is better. And sa kakulitan ko, I even brought it in the office to ask some of my officemates. Siyempre, di ko sinabi na un na ang souvenirs namin. I just ask them if you're going to choose between these two, which one would you choose? And the verdict was... The smaller one!
To my fellow w@wies please feel free to comment with these two! I would really appreciate it! mwah! =D

Moments in Life
There are moments in life when you miss someone
so much that you just want to pick them from
your dreams and hug them for real!

When the door of happiness closes, another opens;
but often times we look so long at the
closed door that we don't see the one
which has been opened for us.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile,
because it takes only a smile to
make a dark day seem bright.
Find the one that makes your heart smile.

Dream what you want to dream;
go where you want to go;
be what you want to be,
because you have only one life
and one chance to do all the things
you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
enough trials to make you strong,
enough sorrow to keep you human, and
enough hope to make you happy.

The happiest of people don't necessarily
have the best of everything;
they just make the most of
everything that comes along their way.

The brightest future will always
be based on a forgotten past;
you can't go forward in life until
you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying
and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so at the end,
you're the one who is smiling and everyone
around you is crying.

Don't count the years--count the memories...........
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away!

Labor Day!
In the Philippines, the day marks the celebration of Labor Day, a national holiday that honors workers all over the country. It is marked by parades and gatherings though more often than not, it is a time for airing the grievances of the labor sector through rallies and demonstrations.
Labor Day in the Philippines was first celebrated in 1903. Organized by the Union Obrero Democratica de Filipinas (UODF), more than a hundred thousand workers marched to Malacañang on May Day that year to demand better working conditions.
The demonstration alarmed the American colonial government. The Philippine Constabulary, composed of Americans and Filipinos, raided the printing press of UODF. They arrested its president, Dominador Gomez, for illegal assembly and sedition.
Undaunted, the labor movement continued its struggle. On May 1, 1913, Congreso Obrero de
Filipinas was organized. Led by Hermenegildo Cruz, it battled for an eight-hour working day, abolition of child labor, just labor standards for women, and liability of capitalists.
Throughout the years, the Philippine labor movement grew despite some factional differences among adherents. There are now unions for almost every type of worker and these unions are affiliated with some national confederations. The unions help workers gain more benefits under existing labor laws. A militant federation, the Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU), even involves itself in political issues. All these make slogans and streamers during May Day rallies more colorful and forceful.
However, some May Day events can turn into riots. Just in recent history, it was also on the first day of May in 2001 when “EDSA 3” or “People Power 3” took place. It was the ‘surprising uprising’ of the “masa”—the supporters of impeached president Joseph “Erap” Estrada against newly installed president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. It was however more of a political revolt.
This year will be no different when May Day is celebrated. Rallies and demonstrations are expected to take place as labor makes its needs known.
As usual, since I'm working in a call-center, We still have work! *Sigh*
