My first trial make-up
I had my first trial make-up with Jasmine last sunday at Themes & Motifs (Podium). Medyo gahol kami sa oras 'coz we need to leave Manila by 1pm for Caleruega wedding around 3pm. She's very nice as well as her hairstylist (Ney). Since masyadong tedious ang hair na gusto ko ipagawa, we decided na lugay nalang baka hindi kami umabot sa wedding! =p She started 11:30am and natapos ng 12:45pm. Medyo inip si Rain! =p He was asking Jasmine, "kung ganyan ba talaga katagal?" Then Jasmine just said, "mas matagal pa pag wedding day na!" Well, wala na siyang magagawa ganyan talaga mga babae. Rain was happy with the outcome! Ganda daw! O diba? Nambola pa! Next trial would be for our pre-nup with Mimi & Karl. We haven't decided yet when to schedule it. Mukhang busy sila e. And since medyo maulan lately! I don't know but I'm kinda excited with our prenup (medyo camera shy ako e...hehehe!) Well, Good luck! =p
P.S.
Not so nice resolution kase celphone lang gamit ni Rain! hehehe =p

Wedding at Caleruega
Last night we attended a wedding @ Caleruega. It was a blast. I may say this is one of the organized and beautiful wedding I've attended so far. Actually, I'm very eager to attend the wedding because both of us have a lot of common suppliers (OTD - Impromptu, All-in-one band - The Sentimental Groove, Photographer - Karmina Abesamis & Karl De Leon, Couturier - Zandra Lim). It's very organized despite the rain. Good thing after the ceremony the rain stopped and we're able to have pictures outside the church! Ganda ng view! It's our first time to attend a wedding in Caleruega kas e. Ang layo pala! hehe =p We left Podium around 1pm and arrived around 3pm. Akala namin late kami with matching ligaw pa un ha? =p
Rain was included in the game. First, they have to drive one glass of beer. e hindi pa naman masyado umiinom si Rain. Takot siya because he has to drive pa. Then after the beer we thought tapos na. 2nd place lang siya. Then, came the needle and thread. Kailangan ilusot ang thread sa needle. wwwwwaaaaaaaaaahhhh! Goodluck! Rain is wearing contact lenses. Malabo pa naman ang mata 600-600 both eyes. So, accepted na nya na matatalo na siya! Ayun, natalo nga! hehehe =p
Then when single ladies game na, akala ko makakalusot ako. They have the list of single women. And the host have to roll call every single women. Feeling ko set-up! haha =p The game was like trip to jerusalem. Rain is seated in the middle blind-fold. Then all single women have to sit down (kanduringin ni Rain) at kung sino ang nakaupo siya ang out. At first hindi talaga ako nakikipag-agawan! Nasabi tuloy saken ni Karl na ... "mag-effort naman daw ako! hehehe" Sabi ko lang, "set up!". Buti nalang nung 4 nalang kami natitira, when the music stopped, sakto malapit ako dun sa kanya kaya nakaupo na ako! hehe! Sayang daw sabi nila sana ako nalang daw ang nanalo! haha =p Mukhang napagod Lab ko! Kase ang dami ba namang gustong umupo e. Ang hirap daw. But he enjoyed it naman! =p
Anyways, I'll be posting some of the pics taken from the wedding. I'll be posting it soon....

Cry Baby!
Yesterday, after work we went to Makati to buy wedding gift for Janice & Randy. Then, we watched The LakeHouse. At last, we're able to watch it na. Rain though that the movie was about action or something. When I said it's a love story, sleep nalang daw siya (pang-asar nya!=p) But when the movie starts, medyo napaisip siya and parang ang gulo daw! =p But middle of the movie, he was enjoying it na rin. I was eyeing this one before pa. But we just don't have time! It is an American remake of the Korean film Il Mare. Though I'm not quite a fan of korean movies, it seems they're quite good and always focuses on love stories were we filipinos loved. I was teary eyed at the end of the story (mababaw talaga ang luha ko! =p). It's really beautiful and I recommend this movie to those hopeless romantics out there!

The movie is about a lonely Dr. Kate Forster (Sandra Bullock) who, on a winter morning in 2006, reluctantly leaves the beautiful lake house that she has been living in for a job in a Chicago hospital.

On her way to Chicago, she leaves a note for the lake house's new tenant asking him to kindly forward her mail and telling him about the paw prints by the front door and the box in the attic. However, Alex Wyler (Keanu Reeves), the new tenant, sees a different lake house, one which was neglected, dirty, and there were certainly no paw prints. He disregards Kate's letter until a few days later; he is painting the jetty and a stray dog runs across the fresh paint leaving paw prints where Kate said they would be. He writes back to Kate, only to discover that they are separated in time by two years, with Alex living in 2004 and Kate living in 2006.As Kate and Alex continue to correspond through the mailbox, they find themselves falling in love.

Determined to bridge the distance between them at last and unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary connection, they tempt fate by arranging to meet.

I love the soundtrack. Especially the song by Pul McCartney - This Never Happened Before, When Sandra & Keannu had their first dance. And I was able to download the mp3 just this morning =p Pathetic!

Flowers
Lala of Interplay sent me the final contract just this morning! I've even requested that two weeks ago pa. Because of the busy schedule, she wasn't able to answer my emails on time. But that's ok. No harm done. She was able to give us additional discount for the package instead of 6 bridesmaids, 5 nalang. and for flowersgirls, instead of 3, 2 nalang! She was very nice and easy to talk to. I even requested for a sample flowers that she will incorporate on the details and specifications of my whole entourage. Masyado siguro akong na-intrigue sa magiging looks. So now, im posting the samples of the flowers. It's not the actual colors of the flowers though, 'coz she'll do it according to my theme and motif -- BLUE.

Change Date!
Rain & I decided to change the date for their Pamamanhikan. Instead of July 2, we'll move it to July 9. Due to unavoidable and different schedules. We'll do it the traditional way of Pamamanhikan, "asking for the girl’s parents’ permission to wed the affianced pair." The custom symbolizes honor and respect for the parents, seeking their blessing and approval before getting married". During pamamanhikan, "the man and his parents bring some pasalubong (gifts). It is also at this time that the wedding date is formally set, and the couple become engaged to get married".
Rain & I have been together for more than 3 years and both parents - both moms [we both don't have dads na =(!] Both Rain & I were excited because this would be the first time my mom and her mom will meet. =p

Busy Saturday!
Here are some of the pictures taken last Saturday. We attended two Christening in one day! Whew! =p From QC to Manila. Both Rain & I we're starving when we went to QC. However, with the second christening, both of us we're already full. Sayang lang! hehehe =p

w/ Hans (father) & Amare

me & Ria (mother)

w/ Manny (father) & Julianna

@ Saisaki, Malate w/ Mike & wife, Marie & Manny, Jon, Irwin & Agnes, me & Rain

*******************

After attending two christening. We went to Mall of Asia to meet with my bridesmaids who used to be my college friends. It was our first time sa Mall of Asia. It was soooooo big. Nakakahilo! I didn't enjoyed the crowd (sorry for those who loved it!). Rain, even suggested if it's possible to change the venue nalang. Parang maliligaw kayong lahat dito. It's not advisable if all of you are going to discuss the details of your entourage. Well, oo nga naman. Ang gulo. And kami kase ang nauna dun. So, I texted them if we could change the venue - I suggested Makati nalang. para madali rin makahabol sinaLiselle & Ani (has class in Ateneo, Rockwell). Buti nalang everyone agreed.

We had a great time! We choose a restaurant were we can stay for a long time - Grappa's @ Greenbelt 3. The food was great and so delicious. Hindi na nga ako masyado kumain because busog na busog pa din ako! We stayed there from 6pm to 9pm. With the unending kwentuhan. We had a lot of catching up. Sad to say, 'coz Mindy & Emma can't make it. I just hope complete kami sa measurement taking namin.

Measurement with Veluz
Yesterday, I had my measurement taking with Veluz! It was really tiring the whole day because we have to drive all the way from QC to Quirino, Manila. After my shift, I have to go first with my ortho for the adjustments. We arrived there around 9am (masyadong early!). My schedule was 10am pa. But we decided to arrived there early to avoid traffic. We left QC around 1am na. I'm also with my sister. Kaya medyo tumagal kami. My schedule with Veluz was around 11am. Then, I changed to 1am. And with the traffic and all, we arrived at Veluz place around 2pm. Sobrang hiya ako! hehe =p
Then Veluz, got out of the room while we're waiting at the receiving area, she just said "Ready na?". Natawa lang si Rain. Then, when we're taking the measurement specifically the bust area, "highschool?". I have 32 1/2 bust measurement. Wag na daw ako magpapayat. Tama na daw un. E I was on diet pa naman. I'm minimizing my food intake. Feeling ko kinunchaba ni Rain si Veluz na pagalitan ako with my diet. And my sister was even saying mukha na akong bungo! wwwaaaaaaaaaahhhh! Hindi naman e. OA naman! But in fairness, Veluz said na it's very normal to loose weight kahit na hindi ka pa diet. It's with the stress daw. So, parang kumampi lang ng slight hehehe =p
Then, when we're dicussing the gown. We're torn between A & C kase e. So, what we did is we just combined the two design. However, I'm still undecided about the train. I want kase parang separate yung design instead of only one in the middle (ang hirap i-explain!). But Veluz thinks na that would look nice nga. And she brought out the sample train with separate design for the train. Basta un na un! She said, baka hindi na daw ako makatulog pag nakita ko. Then, when she rolled out the train. Grabe, I really fell in love with it. Rain and my sister were shocked with it. It's was sooooooo beautiful. Sad to say, hindi ko man lang nakuhanan =(.
After discussing my gown. We also inquire about Rain's suit. She'll just give us swatches on my first fitting. Medyo undecided kase si Rain about it. Ayaw kse ni Rain to spend so much on his suit. Sa akin na daw napunta hehehe =p. However, Veluz explained to him na we should also give importance or emphasis sa suit nya. Kaka-konsiyensiya naman daw kung parang pang-groomsmen lang daw hehe!=p We should use wool for the suit daw. We left around 3pm na. And still we haven't ate our lunch. We went to G4 to celebrate our 38th monthsary over lunch! It was so tiring yet we had fun.
We'll, can't wait for my first fitting on July 7. Kahit na katcha lang. I can't wait pa din!

Leave!
I filed a leave for tomorrow, friday. As much as possible, I don't let myself absent for work. I filed friay because I have a lot of things to do. First, have to go to my ortho for adjustments on my braces. Actually, it's due already last Sunday. I wasn't able to wake up early. She had to do the retraction again to push my teeth outward (nasobrahan sa pasok). Second, have my measurement taking with Veluz. I'm really excited about it. Kahit measurement palang hehe! Pathetic! Third, we have to buy gifts for the 2 christening we'll be attending on Saturday. Take note, pareho yung saturday. The first one is at 9am in QC and the other one is in Binondo around 11am naman. And saturday afternoon, I have to meet with my college barkada who's also my bridesmaids to discuss their gowns. Whew! What a busy day! =p And to think, I'll have to do this after my thursday shift (friday morning!). Well, Goodluck!

Two in a row!
Last night, Saturday. We spent our quality time sa mall. Yup.. no other than Glorietta of course. Our plan was to have dinner and watch a movie. But with SALE!? Hala... I got carried away na naman. We went through all my favorite stores like Mango, CMG and Kamiseta. Rain was telling me, "hindi ka talaga aalis ng walang nabibili?hehe". Siyempre deadma lang. After that, nagyaya na ako magdinner and then watch the movie The Omen. Rain was kinda hesitant about the movie because he had no idea what the movie is all about. Duh?! Hindi nya pa napapanood ung dati? E re-make nalang to. hehehe! =p Actually, he's not fond of watching suspense, horror or thriller films. In short takot siya! I remember, the 1st horror movie we watched together was Feng Shui. He was very scared. Of course, di nya pinapakita sken. "Kung may sket daw siya sa puso, inatake na daw siya". But siyempre, gusto ko kaya wala na siya nagawa!=p Again with this movie, it's not that scary as compared to the Omen movies I've watched before but scary enough though.
"The Omen" begins in the Vatican Observatory, where the heavens are seen to fulfill prophecy by placing a star above Rome on the night of Damien's birth, just as there was a star above Bethlehem when Jesus was born. That the Antichrist gets his own star makes you wonder who's running the heavens, but never mind.
After the movie, we just went straight home. He was kinda tired na because umaga palang gising na siya because he fetched me after my friday shift (sat morning na un!). However, ako naman ang hindi antok nun. I sleep around 8:30am. and woke up around 4pm. In short, he's just there at our house. Basta binantayan lang niya ako matulog. How sweet noh?! =p I spent the whole time in front of my pc. Downloading mp3 files, updating my blog, bloghopping, check email and chatting with my officemates. Yes! I was supposed to come to work that day after our date, kaya lang not sure kase kung what time matatapos and Rain doesn't want me to take one na rin. However, parang pumasok na rin ako because we spent the whole morning chatting. Parang wala silang trabaho noh?! And even our supervisor joined our conference chat. We're joking kung invite namin siya. Baka kase magalit. Ako pasimuno hehehe! =p But I was chatting with her privately, hindi lang niya alam na the rest of the team ka-chat ko! Pero hindi pa rin napigilan, she joined our conference! Lahat tumahimik! hahaha =p Lahat sila sa office while me at home. Sana nga magkaroon kami ng grand EB! =P *lol*
****
Sunday! Rain & I were supposed to go to megamall for the bridal fair and Loyola Memorial in Marikina for his father's bday. Sad to say ... waaaaaaaahhhh! Nagising na ako 430pm. And nandito na sa house si Rain. I alarmed my celphone around 11am. Hindi ako nagising. Sobrang nahiya ako! I'm supposed to fetch him after lunch! Instead ako ang pinuntahan! Hiya talaga ako! =( Buti nalang hindi naman siya nagalit. Karen, my sister prepared tacos for merienda. It was Rain's favorite kase. We had dinner na rin at our house. After dinner, I organized mobile phonebook. Rain gave me her K700i. He bought K750i kase. From his T610 na pinamana nya na din sken. Wala akong hilig magchange ng phone. Ung gusto ko kase mahal. Hehehe! =) Then, nagyaya ako to watch a movie. Parang kagabi lang diba? Palibhasa hindi ako antok hehehe! We checked the last full show through the net at Glorietta. Then decided to watch Take The Lead with my sister.
The movie was great! Funny and the three of us enjoyed it. Though its already the typical teenage highschool story getting a chance to change their life and proving to themselves that they can be somebody!

Change!
Rain had his new job. He'll start by June 12, Monday. It's somewhere in Makati and on a graveyard shift of course. We've been together with the same company like SVI. Unfornately, the company have to trim down its employees, so Rain got his retrenchment. And SVI Connect, were I was connected was bought out by Winsource Solutions (another call center). So, definitely Rain and some of his colleagues weren't included because they're part of SVI Technologies supporting SVI Connect. Good thing, they received all the benefits what is due to them (if I had a choice, siguro papa-retrench nalang ako!). But considering all the expenses for our wedding, my loans and bills to pay, siyempre pareho kami ayaw mawalan ng trabaho. Good thing, 'coz Winsource gave all employees better salary and additional benefits as well as the tenure. So, pede na rin!
With these changes happening to us - different company. Rain & I have to change the date for our honeymoon, from Dec 18-21 to Jan 2007 (not sure of the date). We'll still have to talk to our travel agent about this changes. The initial plan was Dec 18-21 for Bohol and early next year we'll go to HongKong (hindi kase kami nakapunta ng Disney the last time we went there! hehehe =P). Rain have to work on his regularization. So, by December 12 he's already a regular employee before our wedding. He's very worried kase with all the wedding preps, baka hindi daw siya payagan mag-leave if ever, since he's just a new employee. Good thing during the job offer, he already mention that he's getting married on December, so if it is possible na it'll come a time na he has to make an absence like for marriage seminars etc. His boss said, it's understandable. He'll just make a consideration. Buti nalang at mabait!
Rain & I had been working together. We almost have the same routine, both working on a graveyard shift for 6 years. Now, though we still have the same work schedule with the different company, I felt ok naman. He lives in San Juan -- works at Makati and I live at Makati -- works in Mandaluyong. Opposite direction. His work schedule starts from 10pm to 6:30am while mine starts from 9pm to 6am. Though it would not be different totally, because he'll still go to our house after his shift. So, we still have to see each other pa naman. We also have weekends to spend our time together. I'm hoping that everything will turn out fine with these changes happening to us! =p

Six Short Simple Words
Six short and simple words.

They are the "strangest secret."

There are more than six hundred thousand words in the English language. And yet just six words...six short and simple words explain:

* how one person with identical skills can earn hundreds of thousands and even millions more than another
* how some people shoot to the top of the company while others are fired
* why some people live happy productive lives while people of identical upbringings and education stumble from failure to failure
* why some seem to achieve goals almost effortlessly while most can't seem to get on track
* why some marriages flourish while others end early
In 1956 Earl Nightingale shared these six words with the world in arecording he called The Strangest Secret, and the world has never beenthe same. His recording has sold over a millions albums and became the first (andonly) spoken word message to win a Gold Record. It transformed lives andvirtually created a new industry --- the modern day personaldevelopment/self help industry.

Busy Sunday!
Last Sunday, before attending the bridal fair at Crown Plaza in Ortigas, I went to Rain's house. (o diba? ako ang nagsundo!) he's from San Juan, para malapit na sa Ortigas. When we're having lunch, Rain already discussed the Pamamanhikan. We already set the date, it's going to be on July 2, 2006 (Sunday). Yes, ngayon palang. For the past few months, we've been discussing that and setting the perfect date. The other dates we considered were June 11, 18 & 25. But due to different schedules, we change it to July instead (parang walang connection? =p).
At first, we both decided na kung pede lunch or dinner nalang in a restaurant. Since konte lang naman kami, we only have our moms, his brothers and my sister. Both of us don't have any grandparents (kakalungkot noh!). Kaya we opt to do the traditional pamamanhikan!
We're almost done with the wedding preps and both families already knew how long we've been planning it. It's 6 months to go and we're very excited and happy with all the accomplishments we've done. Hay! Time was really fast.
After we had our lunch, we went to Crown Plaza for the Bridal Fair. Actually, we don't need anything na except for the invites. We're hoping that we could check out good, cheaper supplier. Tha sad part is none. I think there were only 3 suppliers participated in just for invites (Prinsonalities, QP Designs & The Write Impressions). We're already considering The Write Impression to do our invites, however we still want to look for other options. We got their quotations but they have a minimum requirement for 100pcs. We're hoping we could order less than 100 (around 80) pcs only. Very expensive sobra.
Then just looking around, I bumped into Jasmine (my HMU). We already set my trial make-up. Sobrang tagal na kase nya akong tinatanong about it, when to sked. I just don't have an event kase to attend para worth it. Buti nalang 'coz we're attending a wedding on June 25 at Caleruaga. At least hindi masasayang ang make-up. However, the 2nd trial would be on our prenup pictorial with Mimi and Karl. Haven't sked anything yet. Still need to talk to them. We We want sana Tagaytay, Ecopark, UP and Bay Walk!
We stayed around 30 mins siguro sa fair. Medyo madami na kase kaming nagawa e. Sabi nga ni Rain, "Ang galing noh? Ang bilis natin. Wala na kase tayong masyadong kailangan e".
After the fair, we went to Robinson's Galleria, (3rd time ko pa lang nakapunta dun...haha!) We want to watch a movie na rin dun. But Rain doesn't want the movie house. Chaka daw! =p We're used to watching movie kase sa Glorietta. Sabi ko mukhang ok naman e. Howver, when we're about to buy our tickets, sabi ko ga Glorietta nalang. I don't know. But I don't feel like it na din. So we went to G4 and watched X-Men III. Yes, ngayon lang namin napanood. Jologs! Buong Pilipinas yata napanood na pero kami hindi pa!
The movie was great. Kaya lang sa sobrang puyat ko, wasn't able to finish the movie. Nakatulog ako. Ginising nalang ako ni Rain kase tapos na! Inasar pa ako na kung maganda daw ung movie! hehe =p
Sobrang kulang talaga ako ng sleep that day. I woke up round 2am of Sunday. E natulog ako ng 5pm of Sat. Galing pa ako nun sa work --friday night. Saturday morning after the shift, we went to Zandra Lim and late na din kami nakauwi. Almost 8 hours lang ako sleep ko nun from friday night to sunday morning 1am.
After the movie, we had dinner pa with my mom and sister. Sobrang antok na ako tapos dinner pa??? Kaya after dinner we went home agad.
It was a tiring day. But we had fun spending our quality time together!

Fabric for my Entourage
This is the sample color of the fabric Zandra will use for the entourage dresses.
(cationic satin: blue & dope dyed chiffon: aqua)
Dope Dyed Chiffon: Delicate, sheer, and transparent -- made from silk or rayon, with a soft finish; often layered because of its transparency, making it popular for overskirts, sheer sleeves, and wraps.
Cationic Satin: A heavy, smooth fabric with a high sheen on one side; very common in bridal gowns.

Zandra Lim
Just this afternoon... Rain, I and Belle (one of my secondary sponsors) went to Zandra Lim's shop at E. Rodriguez. Grabe, naligaw kami! :D Medyo shunga-shunga talaga ako sa lugar! Rain allow me to drive kase sabi ko alam ko ung lugar. When I called up Zandra's office and confirming our appointment, I asked for the landmark, san ba malapit. I'm from Vito Cruz, so the best route is Quirino - Nagtahan - Espana- Welcome Rotonda! So, nagmarunong ako, in short! We went all the way to Roosevelt. Malayo na pala un. We're suppose to turn right at UDMC, papuntang St. Lukes! Grabe... what we did pa, when we reach Roosevelt, we take a U-turn going back to Welcome Rotonda and Espana! The sad part is, walang U-turn slot along Espana! So, we had to pass thru UST pa. Hay with all the traffic and hot weather!
She was very nice! Medyo tahimik. Buti nalang at medyo maingay at makulit si Belle (Thanks Te!). When I started showing her the designs I want from the magazines I brought, she start sketching! I got to know her through Nice (a friend, officemate & w@wie).
She will be using dope dyed chiffon (color: aqua) & cationic satin (color:blue). And to match up with my motif (blue & silver), she'll use the beadworks (color: silver) as accent.

Here are the sketches:

(Maid of Honor)
She made two sketches. But I prefer the 1st one!

(Secondary Sponsors)
She made 3 sketches based on the body size of my SS. I really like it.
(from left to right: For Mean, Belle & Emma)

Bridesmaids

She made 3 sketches out of the designs I gave her. But I like the 1st one!

Flower Girls

So far, I like her na! I still have to email my entourage for the designs for approval. As for the price, it's quite expensive (sa budget namin!). But since, my entourage will be shouldering their dress, ok na din. When I check out some of her finished gowns... Ganda! =)

However, this coming tuesday, I still have an appointment with Joel Bautista. From then, we'll decide who should we get! =P
